A light is separate from darkness. We don't need to be friends with unbelievers, in order for them to see the light.
That's true - unbelievers. Leave them alone those who don't want anything to do with the Most High God.
Those who do, however, need our observation. Someone who is homosexual, or someone who lies may not ever come out and say, "I need help!" But, we should be able to
discern when someone is in need. We draw on when we were spiritual wanderers without knowing it - indulging in things we thought were right, and we try to have fruits of the spirit (patience, wisdom, etc.) to help those who show signs of needing it.
We plant the seed, the Word of God Himself cultivates it. But, there will be problems in cultivation if the seed isn't from a good (non hypocritical, unholy) source. Sometimes one's life is enough to draw someone to Him. If we had the same disdain for adulterers, or liars as we do people who have homosexual attractions, we may have a leg to stand on.
Instead, we
qualify our iniquity (e.g. "white" lies), and choose which of the Most High God's law we follow. So, we have a bunch of people who want to be sanctified, perhaps, from homosexuality. On one hand, the people they are supposed to trust - direct images of the Father - are condemning them to the point of suicide. On the other hand, they see these same images indulging in idolatry, fornication and abominations themselves. Where are they supposed to go for help? Of course homosexuals would make their own "tribe", and
defiantly parade their activities in a demand for acceptance. We have to be cognizant of all of these intricacies.
