So defying federal law enforcement is totally fine when it suits your purpose?
Would you be as fine with "resistence" against de-segregation in schools, or something similar?
Maybe Trump should explore the options of calling up the National Guard to help ICE do its job, like one of his predecessors did when other local entities refused to abide by federal law.

Donald Trump is nothing if not a supreme hypocrite:

"What the mayor of Oakland did the other day was a disgrace. They had close to 1,000 people ready to be gotten, ready to be taken off the streets ... many of them, they say 85 percent of them are criminals and had criminal records. And the mayor of Oakland went out and warned them all, scattered, so instead of taking in a thousand they took in a fraction of that."

Trump said that the mayor’s actions put the lives of federal agents in danger:

"They were all set, this was long in the planning and she said get out of here and she's telling that to criminals. And it's certainly something we are looking at with respect to her individually. What she did is incredible and very dangerous from the standpoint of ICE and border patrol. Very dangerous. She really made law enforcement much more dangerous than it had to be. So we are looking at that situation very carefully.”

What specific federal law is Chicago refusing to abide by? Please I want to know.

Wait...you mean you aren't? You'd burn incense to the emperor, turn in run away slaves, show the police where the Jews are hiding and then claim "Well, that's the law, and that's what Christians are supposed to do!"? Or do you look at a law and decide for yourself: "Can I in good conscience obey this law?" I know the easy path is to "just go along" but sometimes? We do have to make a choice for ourselves.

Would you be as fine with "resistence" against de-segregation in schools, or something similar?
If they want to resist, I say go ahead and resist. As long as they accept the consequences for resisting they should feel free to do so. That's sort of the whole point of freedom of speech and so on, isn't it?

He wouldn't do that, he knows if he called up the national guard two things would happen:
1) He'd lose all those "State rights" groups who support him now
and
2) he'd have to come to Chicago and shake hands with the guardsmen he sent here, and there's apparently no place on Earth President Trump is more afraid of then Chicago. ;)

like one of his predecessors did when other local entities refused to abide by federal law.
Good luck selling that idea to rest of the Republican Party. Because that sounds like a lot of work for someone who has so many tweets to send off. :sorry:
tulc(suspects Chicago really makes President Trumps bone spurs flair up) :tantrum:

Trump isn't a democrat leader.

Trump is now in charge. And as you learned, he decided to toss those kids into cages, after taking them from their parents, without even a pad to sleep on or a way to wash themselves, because he wanted a way to discourage asylum requests.
You shouldn't watch Commie News Network / CNN.

That's America. Trump admires the way it works in Russian and North Korea.

The operation to deport people in the country illegally fulfills a pledge...

I'm not an American, nor do I live in the US or know what legal deportation looks like in the country but why are illegal acts controlled with more illegal acts? I'm a little confused?

A bit of grammatical misinterpretation on your part, as illegally does not apply to the fulfilling of the pledge.

Pretty much like all of Trump's promises. Lots of bombast, not much in the way of results.

His detractors have the same problem, don't they

That's a testable assertion...

Obama Has Deported More People Than Any Other President
According to governmental data, the Obama administration has deported more people than any other president's administration in history.
Obama Has Deported More People Than Any Other President

Less talk, more action. That pretty much sums up the way Obama compares to Trump.

I'm curious as to what I said has to do with the false Messiah  I was referring to Trumps detractors, you know the good little drones.

You were the one who brought up Trump. I mentioned that Trump's problem was lots of bombastic talk, and very little action.

Your response was "His detractors have the same problem, don't they"

As you know, Obama has been very critical of Trump's many failures.

I was referring to Trumps detractors,

I'm just showing you a comparable case, in which a detractor did a much, much better job than Trump. And he didn't throw hundreds of kids into concentration camps to do it.
