If the moments you're talking about are feelings specifically for the opposite sex then chances are you're supposed to marry.

But if they're just for companionship in general, then yeah, welcome to the boat. However, I think your ride will be a lot more convenient since there are a lot more opportunities for fellowship and what not that don't have to do with romance. Good luck

I have been married twice and divorced twice! My life and me have certainly changed and settled as I have found my faith and happiness with it. I live an independent life, I enjoy my children and always aim to smash my personal goals but yes those moments. I miss sharing my happy life, sharing that closeness and teamwork. I know im never alone but I certainly would love to find a guy who shared my passion for helping others and enjoying life. I believe it will happen when the time is right. For now I focus on me and helping others all I can

There was a time in my walk when this topic came up frequently. The Lord was realigning my thoughts in some areas and bringing them into subjection with His. I always believed in headship but He took me deeper and really impressed some things on my spirit related to submission and the other person.

But over time He began to move away from the subject and focused on my calling and what I needed to do. I still desired to marry and had a few prospects. But my spirit was not at peace.

Once He revealed where He was leading me and provided a business plan and ten-year outlook my mind began to shift. When I realized the necessity of returning to school and the business demands I’d have to assume; I understood my spirit’s response.

And those moments stopped entirely. It wasn’t time. When I looked at the things I received in my quiet time it wasn’t related to marriage too often. That’s when contentment took root and the longing was no more. I embraced my station and joy and peace were the result.

I think it’s normal to feel as you have. Your desire for a godly companion came from Him and you’re pursuing it from His perspective. :)

Wise words thank you for sharing. This is the first time in my life I have been single for so long. My faith is strengthening and the need for a life partner is not at the forefront any longer. When its right it will be

Welcome to CF. Thank you for the compliment. For someone in your situation who has shared their life with another it can be challenging.

But He’s able to meet us where we are. Oftentimes we keep the painful things to ourselves or share with friends. And that’s okay. But the first place we must look is to Him. For His healing and restoration.

It doesn’t matter how many times you have to repeat it. Or the tears and frustration that come out. If you’re going to bleed internally. Better to do so with Him than anyone.

He knows how to bring you to a better place and use your experience to minister to others. Sometimes, that’s the best way through. Being an ambassador to others like yourself. It gets your mind off the lack and on the blessing you’re giving to the person in front of you.

In the course of sharing and offering support you’ll feel your heart stir and murmurings of life will be evident. You’re not dead yet. He’s just getting started. :)
