According to a recent poll, a shocking number of democrats believe it is actually racist to criticize a "politician of color".

Poll: A Third Of Democrats Believe It’s Racist To Criticize Politicians Of Color

A new poll suggests that nearly one third of Democrats believe white politicians who criticize politicians of color are racist.

Rasmussen conducted the survey with 1,000 registered voters between July 15-16th. The survey found that 32% of Democrats agree that it is racist for any white politician to criticize the political views of politician of color.

This is fascinating on so many levels. America is the least racist country in all of history. We truly live in a blessed time, just as MKL hoped for. Yet we have people who think like this. Amazing.

I've never seen any group strive harder to accuse innocent people of racism. To me this is worse than racism, as it includes bearing false witness, which made the top ten.

So what is wrong with the people of color that THEY still feel racism. Do you think we white people have failed to explain to them that they are really in great shape.

It's going to be a tough sell, I should think. I mean look at drug arrests. Black people are arrested and jailed at higher rates than whites yet by pretty much ever metric whites use illegal drugs at the same rate!

Yet we have people who think like this. Amazing.

I agree that people should be able to criticize others without it being taken as racist if it is merely a policy difference.

I am absolutely certain that a black man spending the rest of his natural life in a real prison for possessing one joint thinks that too!

He does contribute to the profit of the prison industry, and if he's behaving well he can be a slave.

Good point. I keep forgetting to think about the good men and women running for-profit prisons. Even they need jobs.

It's racist to make racist remarks, which is what Trump did when he attacked the Congresswomen for doing their jobs. It's reassuring to have confirmation that at least Democrats have the decency to get that & not be OK with it.

I've never seen a Trump racist remark in the many decades I've followed him. I've seen a push to make him a racist by misquoting him, and editing comments. I have seen awful horrible antisemitic remarks by democrat lawmakers that just made me cringe.

I'm not seeing a whole lot of disagreement from democrats regarding this poll. It does appear a large percentage believe this. Wonder what MLK would say regarding this. His speech (I have a dream) was so inspirational, and just the opposite of what we're hearing today.

I absolutely want to know the black man serving a life sentence without parole for “possessing one joint.” Name, DOC number, DOC sentence, and facility in which he will inevitably become a corpse.

MLK Jr would be horrified by Trump. His widow wrote a letter expressing how racist Jeff Sessions was. Trump still proudly picked him. Mitch McConnell wouldn't let the letter be read aloud, bc his priority was protecting the ego of Sessions & Trump. You're right that his inspirational message is the exact opposite of what we hear from Trump & his supporters all the time!

No way. His niece loves Trump. And MLK was anti-illegal immigration. He and Trump would have loved each other. I know Trump loves MLK and honors him.

How I wish MLK was alive today.

And just think about this response. It's okay because of how they're feeling. Really? That's the standard?

It's okay to have a racist view against whites so long as it's based in feeling? And it's someone else responsibility to change how they feel? Sorry, that dog won't hunt. There is racism in America, but it comes from all shades, and there's no excuse for it.

He said nothing about races in his remarks. Not a word. He referred to countries, governments, and places. Nothing about race. That is just another false narrative and MSM fake news.

Fact- there are normal natural racial and cultural differences in every human being... including blacks, liberals, and democrats. This is true in every city, state, and country. It is a fact of human nature. They are hypocrites to deny it. The good person first sees it, admits it, and takes measures to defeat it in their own hearts and minds.

There is no similarity between the Democrats of today and MLK.
None whatsoever.

The similarities between Donald Trump and MLK Jr. aren't sweet ones. I mean King wrote the famous “Letter From Birmingham Jail.” Many of Trump’s former advisers are in prison. King was stabbed, stoned, firebombed, shot, while Trump whinges that no politician in history has been treated worse than he. King opposed the Vietnam War. Trump dodged the war & said that avoiding STDs were his personal Vietnam. King won a Nobel Peace Prize, like President Obama. Trump's only tie to Scandinavia in that regard is he wants more people from Norway instead of from blank-hole countries. MLK believed in nonviolence, Trump actively encourages violence. He relishes it.

King said that there is “nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.” You're totally right that that doesn't describe Democrats at all.

It is their livelihood. It is what they do. When you cannot win with with policy and logic... your last resort is to vilify your fellow citizens with lies. I am old enough to remember McCarthyism. My ancestors lived in Salem in the late 1600s and were involved in the witch hunts.
These people are no different. They will vilify you and seek to destroy your lives for political power.
Democrats have become a very dangerous party much like the Sparrows on Game of Thrones. If they regain power in the White House and Congress... look for a lot of innocent people walking down your local main street naked, and having poop thrown at them. Maybe you.
Hyperbole much?

I tried to find the question that was asked. Without knowing that, I can't form much of an opinion. It is amazingly easy to word survey questions to get the desired results.

"Go back to the country you came from" is one of the oldest racial / ethnic slurs there is. It's literally listed on the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's guidelines about anti-discrimination laws. Though it's not surprising Trump would be totally ignorant / indifferent.

It's also just as stupid as stupid gets since three of the four women were born & raised in the United States. The one person who wasn't has been a citizen for longer than Donald's current wife.
