Trump launched a blatantly racist attack on AMERICANS. That they're Democrat riles up his base but all Americans, all people of decency should find his unpatriotic attack reprehensible. No Christian should ever attempt to defend it bc it's totally indefensible.

And yet here we are…

The denial starts earlier though. The birther strangeness is one thing - Trump insists for years that ‘uppity’ President Obama must have been born outside the US. That uppity Obama who had the gall to earn his reputation instead of paying for it. Then these uppity women - how dare they speak words when the mighty Trump, defiler of female ‘dogs’ who he believes should be ‘treated like s**t’ is presiding over the swamp?
Let’s just cut to the bottom line. There is no birther stuff here, and no gall, uppity, or any of those other overheated words that are use strictly for their impact.

Both sides in the Twitter war are fuel by sarcasm and exaggeration. They aren't going to stop...but we ought to.

Yes, those kind of words are an expression of my astonishment that anyone who even just likes women, in the most basic and neutral sense, and thinks people should be treated with some basic decency, would want to be associated with a character like Trump in any way. I can only see support for him from anyone who shares his outlook and is aware of it, shares his outlook but is in denial about it, or who simply has their head shoved firmly in the sand, their fingers in their ears and a one track focus on 'what's in it for them'. He's the embodiment of the very worst in US society. Any facade he's more or less managed to keep up will continue to drop away.

It's no longer up to interpretation. His tweet was pretty straightforward and clear. A big plus his supporters always bring up is that Trump doesn't mince words. He tells it like it is.

If we ignore the obvious racism, we're left with the sheer ignorance of telling an American citizen to go back where they came from and inadvertently criticizing his own government of which he is the elected chief executive.
Did you know what country those representatives were from? Donald doesn't.
Notorious Anti-Semite Ilhan Omar Democrats Put Off Anti-Semitism Resolution After Fierce Backlash was born in Mogadishu Somalia, immigrating to the U.S. in 1992. Accused of once marrying her own brother to circumvent immigration laws Omar suspected of committing a number of immigration crimes. Trump may have been referring to Somalia as Omar considers herself a Somoli-American.

All American spoiled brat, Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is of Porto Rican decent which she relied upon in her election as a "women of color". Trump may have referred to the corruption of Porto Rico.

Rashida Harbi Tlaib is a Palestinian American. Trump may have been referring to dysfunctional terror state Palestine.

Considering the "context" of Trumps return criticism, all three of these American women continually bash America and want to radically transform it into a socialist country.

"So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly..........and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how ....and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how...."

All three of these women suffer from an ingratitude of what they have in America.
I think we should be grateful to them for having the courage to remind us that the Right does not get to unilaterally decide what is American and what is not.
Considering that the Left recently discovered that the “fly over states” also have the right to vote, that Democrats don’t own the country, and that the Left launched a “resistance” from day one, your comment is a great laugh to start a Monday. Thanks!

Smart of them to realize it at last and have the sense to resist what Trump and his base are trying to do to the country.

Good thing, too -- seems like they've decided that telling brown people to go back where they came from is as American as it gets...

AOC’s family is from Puerto Rico (not “Porto Rico”), which is ALSO PART OF THE US.

I’m kind of amazed that this has to be pointed out.
That's why I said "Puerto Rican descent". In the party where identity, race and gender are the most important part of a candidate, Cortez made an issue of her Hispanic decent and has been vocal about issues concerning Puerto Rico which is neither a sovereign nation nor a U.S. State.

Again, considering the common practice by the Left of trashing the country,Trump may have been suggesting that Cortez go and fix the problems in her ancestors homeland.

It's still a US territory and its residents have been US citizens since 1917, which was 13 years before Trump's mother emigrated to the US and only 25 years after his grandfather became a US citizen. AOC has as much claim to being American as Trump does.

You're making things up. If that bolded section is what he was suggesting, then that's what he should have said. Instead, he said she was from another country. That's bad for anybody to say, but entirely outrageous and embarrassing for a president.

Funny story:

My friend, Jennifer, is from Australia. She's been living here in the US for about three years now.

She loves trolling Donald's followers, especially on the topic of immigration. The conversations (so she tells me) rarely go off-script:

Them: <usual screed about immigration>
Her: "You know, I'm an immigrant; this affects me, too."
Them: "No, you're different; you're here legally."
Her: "What makes you think I'm legal?"

*cue the crickets*

They've never been able to muster an answer -- why do you think that is?
Please tell us more about her.

You and anyone supporting this racist idiocy are what's wrong with this country and why it's falling apart and probably deserves to.

That you find this 'reasonable' coming from the President of the United States is even more distressing than the president being stupid enough to tweet it out.
Have you noticed how the exposure of the horrific abuse of immigrant children at the border has actually caused some people to double down on their hatred for immigrants? They’ve been unmasked in a sense and are no longer holding back with the cruelty and unabashed xenophobia.

That seems to be how it goes, the ‘we’re good people, but we’re treating those people badly, therefore they must be bad’ logic, which then leads people to constantly seek out proof of this perspective. Someone posted a vid on cf made by some bunch called ‘justice watch’ that was a prime example of this - a group of women aggressively ‘interviewing’ refugees with a series of leading questions, moving from one person to the next until they got some response they could bend into a shape that fit their propaganda machine. The bizarre thing is they might actually not be aware that they were creating a narrative, rather than reporting ‘the truth’ as they claimed. The capacity for self delusion humans have is pretty amazing.

I highly doubt this theory.
First off, the problem is not immigration or xenophobia, it's illegal immigration and criminals taking refuge in the USA.
Yearly some 4000 US citizens are killed by illegal immigrants.
And that has been exposed in the past years.
There is hardly any 'cruelty' towards illegals by citizens.
Citizens do want them to leave and stop coming though.

As for cruelty, an Antifa terrorist was shot dead after throwing fire bombs at ICE.
