“And we know that God causes everything to work together
for the good of those who love God and are called
according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28)

These were predestined, called, justified, and glorified (8:29-30).

Those who truly love God obey Him by resisting temptations to sin!

“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation.
Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God
has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12)

Believers who endure temptation:
● love God
● chose to be obedient to Jesus (see below)
● will receive the crown of (eternal) life

“Temptation comes from our own desires,
which entice us and drag us away.
These desires give birth to sinful actions.
And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
So, don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters.” (James 1:14-16)

Believers who do NOT endure temptation:
● will fall into habitual sin
● will receive spiritual (eternal) death …
UNLESS they sincerely repent (stop their habitual sinning).

Those who really love Jesus obey Him
“Those who accept My commandments and obey them
are the ones who love Me.” (John 14:21)
“All who love Me will do what I say.” (John 14:23)
“Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey me.” (John 14:24)
“When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love” (John 15:10)
“You are my friends, if you do what I command.” (John 15:14)

Who gets to heaven who does not love Jesus, who is not His friend,
and who does not obey His commandments?

Slaves of sin -- OR -- slaves of obedience
“… if you present yourselves to anyone as as obedient slaves,
you are slaves of the one whom you obey,
either (slaves) of sin which leads to (eternal) death, OR
(slaves) of obedience leading too righteousness?” (Romans 6:16)

“… anyone who obeys my teachings will never die!” (John 8:51)

“if you want to receive eternal life,
keep the commandments.” (Matthew 19:17)

“So, you must live as God’s obedient children.” (1 Peter 1:14)

“Only those who fear the Lord and keep His commandments
have life with God. But there is NO (eternal) life in those
who do not keep His commandments.”

(from “The Shepherd of Hermas”, which was quoted as Scripture by early
Christian leaders such as Irenaeus, Origen, and Clement of Alexandria)

Nice. Though, I don't think the OSAS and faith only crowd would agree. Great points to bring up though. More evidence to what Hebrews 11 and James 2:14-26 was trying to get across.

So your faith is in keeping the commandments and not in Jesus for eternal life salvation.

So your faith is in keeping the commandments and not in Jesus for eternal life salvation.
My faith is in Jesus, of course.
But, my salvation is a covenant between God and myself.
We both have our parts to play in my salvation.
I must co-operate with the precious Holy Spirit in my salvation process.

Please do heed the dozens of warnings in the NT,
some of which are obvious warnings about losing salvation.

Yes, thanks!

Bonus coverage …

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
(Matthew 10:28)

There are a dozen such NT verses about fearing the Lord.

How is it possible for believers to fear the Lord,
IF Satan has deceived them into believing in grace-only, hyper-grace, etc.?

Anything you said before “but” is nullified by what you said afterwards. You cannot trust Christ alone to save you if you believe your works must play a part as the grounds for your salvation

I said that my works must play a part as the grounds for my salvation
because that is what the word of God says.

WARNING TO ALL BORN-AGAIN BELIEVERS
Throw everything in the nearest dumpster
that you have learned about Christianity
from family, friends, school, church, etc.
Instead, believe (and put your trust)
in God's word, the Bible.
If you do this, the precious Holy Spirit
will lead you into all spiritual Truth.
One thing of the utmost importance
that you will learn is that the popular
doctrine of grace-only, hyper-grace, etc.
is a false doctrine from the pits of hell.

Sorry, but it's all about having faith in Jesus to save,
IF we do our part (according to the word of God, not according to me).

“If” you do your part.. is a “gospel” that will never save and has nothing to do with Christ

Well there is not one warning about a child of God who has been given eternal life- losing their salvation.

And we must remember thew Work that Jesus commanded:

John 6:28-29 King James Version (KJV)
28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

This is most obviously blatantly FALSE.
But, as a Baptist, this is what you have been taught.
Would you care to consider one example?
Galatians 5:4
"You have become estranged from Christ,
you who attempt to be justified by law;
you have fallen from grace."

Paul wrote this to Messianic Jews
(Jews who had converted to Christianity).

Who gets to heaven who does not love Jesus, who is not His friend,
and who does not obey His commandments?

I don't want to quibble about whether or not we are to obey God and flee sin. I agree with you on that. However, the greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart, mind and soul, and it is this love, which is faith, through which we are saved. We are not saved by the obedience, though all who genuinely love God will obey him.

It is a sad irony that some would claim to love God, yet not follow his commandments. If they loved him, then they would obey. It is also a sad irony that some would obey in order to save themselves with their works. What they do is not done out of love of God, but as a matter of self-preservation and a love of themselves.

Love God with all your heart, mind and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself. Everything else is a corollary to these two things, and anything not done out of abject love of God or the peer love of others is not a fulfillment of God's commands, even if it outwardly appears to be such a thing, for all practical purposes.

Doing our part consist of only one condition.

Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

We are not saved by the obedience, though all who genuinely love God will obey him.

You don't see how contradictory this statement is?

To avoid any unnecessary assumptions, I ask my questions in the kindest manner. =)

We are not saved by the obedience

Care to explain James 2:14-26 and Hebrews 11 (which James 2 ties in very nicely with)?

Example of obedience to the gospel:
Acts 2:37-41
Acts 8:26-39

Informational:
Everyone knows the gospel is "the good news". However, did you know Paul further defined what the gospel IS?
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 = He preached them the gospel; death, burial, and resurrection.

How does someone obey that? How do you obey a death, burial, and resurrection?

Paul said in Romans 6:3-6
1- baptized into his death
2- Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death
3- that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

Problem is, I think people are ignoring what "believe" is. It is a verb. You have to do something. Just uttering words "I believe" is only confessing. The bible also says we need to repent (Luke 13:3) and we need to be baptized (Acts 2:38).

Only when you are baptized, do you receive remission for sins and the Holy spirit Acts 2:38. It is only when your baptized, that you are IN Christ Galatians 3:27. It is only when you are in Christ, you receive spiritual blessings like Prayer Ephesians 1:3 (but you must have been baptized first)

I do not ignore any passages i just do not pick out a verse here and a verse there and group them together. To make the Bible say something it does not.
