Late to the party... While it is true that many if not all of the opposite side did not give President Obama a chance, many voters, however one identifies themselves as far as race or color did. I realize that there was much division in our country. I think that it is a crying shame that both parties don't or won't give any leader a chance. One thing is for sure: unlike Carter, for example, he was given eight years. Eight years to become the leader of this nation.
For instance, Obamacare was passed, yet by the Supreme Court. Both parties could unite at least once for the sake of not just the nation, but for the people. Both sides, including President Obama and maybe now, even President Trump could be just as much to blame as others. Neither President were without allies, so I had questions even for them. As divided as both parties have truly been, Democrat and Republican, President Obama could have done a better job of communication just as much as the Republicans in office.
While he stressed working alongside with the mostly Republican Congress, which I will give him credit for, I believe that he, like our current President, had many successes as well as failures, whatever they may have been and possibly, what they will be. I think that being objective or taking an objective look or research (just try to be objective, though it is hard to do, I get it) and read about each of the Presidents, what they voted for, what power they exhibited, and how their rulings lined up with the Constitution, which is the Law of the Land (or supposedly). What during the Obama Administration was actually passed? Did Congress and/or the Senate actually work with him, even if rarely?
Were only the Republicans who were against his view, or the Democrats who did the same thing? My advice is not to look to the media, which is truly a divided one. Let us try our very, very best to look and do research his record and what has he has accomplished in office. What has he, Congress, and the Senate actually done? After, looking at the more Conservative Heritage Foundation and Fox News will look to the right more favorably. How about the more Liberal CNN and MSNBC will not look to say, our current President, favorably, that is obvious? Maybe we should be more prayerful and not fail to at least try and see for ourselves, what the inner workings and records of each government official. I realize that there is almost no media outlet has been objective, radio, television, or the internet has a good record of objectivity. We as the American people have to answer our own questions and to think for ourselves and not rely on our dislike for either side. That would be a good start.
