Kosher gelatin

I've been reading that gelatin, like actual Jello or Knox gelatin helps, with arthritis and makes stronger bones. This is supposedly because of the collagen. Unfortunately, most gelatin is sourced from pig skin.
I wonder if kosher gelatin which is made from fish like tilapia would have the same effect?
Any nutritionists/scientists who can help?

Great Lakes Gelatin, Collagen Hydrolysate, Beef, Kosher, is what I use.

If you want the one that makes jello look for the red can.

It really does help for joint pain. Using a Tbs per day for a week made a massive difference when I first tried it, now I use it periodically and have never had the same problems as before.
