Many of you identify as Messianic Jews...
How does it accurately describe your faith in ways ‘Christian’ does not?
Could you follow another Christian path if required?
What is the one thing you wish others understood about your faith?
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced being a Messianic Jew?
I look forward to your replies. Thank you.
Then God’s shalom, passing all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with the Messiah Yeshua."
Religious man (e.g. Christians, Messianic Judaism) has a habit of complicating things like you've got to spell His name this way not that way and you should pronounce it this way not that way, etc, etc, etc.
It would be like David when he's out in the field tending his sheep. He wiles away his time on his iPhone or Chromebook posting on Jewish websites instead of praising his LORD, singing songs with a circumcised heart, composing psalms in his heart and not thinking about the next movie to see, a favorite TV program, what restaurant to checkout next, what gadget, toy, clothing to buy and looking to religious man for guidance and on and on it goes ...
"In conclusion, brothers, focus your thoughts on what is true, noble, righteous, pure, lovable or admirable, on some virtue or on something praiseworthy."
The so-called "major" and "minor" Prophets (horrid terminology) heard from the LORD and were led by the LORD (although Jonah struggled). Keep listening and obeying His still small voice. (1 Kings 19:11-18). Isn't the WORD Soooo Heavenly encouraging. Look no further than the WORD for His Instruction for your daily walk with HIM.
I don't mean to rain on your thread, but it suggests you're looking to others instead of keeping your ears, eyes, spirit, heart focused on HIM. That said my heart tells me that by the time you are a grandmother your grandchildren will cherish you immensely for your loving wisdom.
The LORD Is GOOD!
