No, because higher taxes to pay for education, will simply make jobs even harder to find. India was a perfect example of this where they had an over abundance of highly educated people, with no jobs. They come out with debt-free degrees, and end up working low-income jobs. This is how you have people with engineering degrees, at tech-support call centers.

The solution for rural people, is not to give them free education, and have them stay in rural America working at Wendy's by the highway with a degree in architecture (based on a real story, where I worked at McDonald's with a lady with a 4-year degree in architecture, because she didn't want to work downtown where a job using her degree would be).

These people have only 3 options.

Move to where the jobs are.

Create your own business where you are.

Or simply accept that if you want to live a rural life, you are going to have rural wages.

I am entirely against us funding other people's bad choices. And honestly, it is a bad choice to stay living out in the country, if there are no jobs there. Why should me, or any other tax payer, be forced to pay for someone who is going to get a degree and not use it? Because the fact is, most people don't use their degrees.

Barely over 1/4th of all college grads, actually use their degree. Why should I be forced to pay for that?

Even the job I'm at now, we have people there with degrees and certifications, and education, that are doing low-skill work with me, someone without any degree or skills or certifications. They are not being paid more than me, because the job I'm in doesn't require any of those things.

Why should be forced to pay for their education, when they are not even using their education?

No, the Democrats are wrong. Terrible idea.
And work your way up like Donald Trump who started out with nothing and is now really rich. He’s so rich he has to hide his taxes because nobody would believe how really rich he is.:preach:

And don’t take out student loans.

What business is it of yours?

Proverbs 11:12
"It is foolish to belittle one’s neighbor; a sensible person keeps quiet"

What have you to do with Trump's taxes?

John 21:22
Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me."

What is that to you? What business is it of yours?

There is only one reason someone thinks they need to. Know what others are doing with their money, is because someone is Envious, Greedy, or Gossiping.

1 Cor 6:9-
Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God

2 Cor 12:20
For I am afraid that when I come I won’t like what I find, and you won’t like my response. I am afraid that I will find quarreling, jealousy, anger, selfishness, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorderly behavior.

None of that should be what we're about.

Interesting article:

'It's really troubling': Parts of America are trapped in a ‘catch-22’ economic situation

Lots of interesting stuff in there including that large parts of rural America never recovered from the 2008 recession...and never will.

Most interesting for me was that the primary marker was education and its availability:

"Yet when residents from these distressed communities tried to bridge that gap by attending college, they ended up burdened by student debt, creating a worse situation financially."

Maybe these free college democrats are on to something.
There is no such thing as free anything.

I have a right to know if a government employee is a crook. But we are veering off by talking about a supposedly wealthy employee from a large city.

What does being a crook, have to do with tax returns? Are you implying that the IRS is processing tax returns without finding out if they are fraudulent? The IRS sends thousands of people to prison every year, and that doesn't include the millions that they fine, and force to pay penalties and fees on.

If someone is doing something illegal, the IRS will know it, and prosecute it.

Further, while you may or may not have a right from a humanistic standpoint, this is the Christian Forums you are on, and we follow the Lord, and the Lord has rules for how a Christian should live their lives, regardless of what "right to know" a humanist would claim.

A poster forgets the American government is secular authority and both Christian and non have (arguably) certain rights, including knowing with whom the President binds himself financially. A poster may review the TOS about whether another poster may make such observations.
