My wife is not speaking with me. It started because I quickly visited a sidewalk art display after church which my wife gave me permission to do. I had my cell phone on vibrate in my shirt pocket (so it would not disturb the church service) but did nOT notice the vibration later when she called me later to tell me not to disturb her when I came home because she was listening to a church meeting by phone. I knew enough to come in quietly but she complained and insulted me through the afternoon because I did not pick up my cell phone. After shopping with her I began to speak up suggesting we should get a divorce. We are not speaking now and she wants to move out and pay for the apartment. We have a history of conflict. Please pray about the situation.

Lord bless this prayer, reconcile only a sojourner to his wife. Protect and bless their marriage. Lord help both to understand , love and respect one another, solve their problems, and bless them. Lord let you be glorified in this marriage, in Jesusbloving name, Amen!

It seems to me that you both need counseling. Neither of you ought to be so angry. Jesus teaches us to be kind and to forgive. Retaliating or insisting that the other person is wrong just doesn't work.

I just think you two just have a communication issue and need to love each other. I'm saddened to hear you're in the process of divorcing when I think it could have been resolved earlier with love on both sides appreciating each other.

I seem to remember you requesting prayers for your wife's health more than once in the past. It was obvious you love her very much. I don't know if she is still very ill but that can make a world of difference in a persons mental health both yours and hers.
My first thoughts made me want to remind you that you are over your wife. You are the head of the house.
I will pray for peace and love for you and your wife.

"...a soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." Prov 15:1. Found just apologizing how I`ve said something goes a long way.

"...let not the sun go down upon your wrath:" Eph 4:16 Know a couple who agreed whenever they have a disagreement BOTH apologize before 10 p.m.

Asks Yahweh to help you forgive Col 3;13

Your wife feels you need her permission - and so do you? - just to go visit a sidewalk art display? She thinks she is being real Christian when she listens to a Church meeting and makes sure to tell you not to disturb her at that time? Uh, if you had walked in on her at such a time she could have simply smiled and put a finger to her lips to indicate she would appreciate - not demand - some uninterrupted time.

It seems to me that your wife is intimidating you and overstepping her bounds as a wife, even as just a human being. To me that seems the issue that really needs the first prayers, as seen from here.

If your wife wants to move out she may have zero interest in counseling, but it seems maybe worth a try.

You do not say if any young children are involved.
I pray for you for wisdom, insight and direction.
