They can pray to anything or anyone they like it does them no good, there is only one God.

You are entitled to your views, but I disagree.

So don't ask them to pray for you - you don't want Satan taking interest in your life... but it's rude to ask people of other faiths not to pray when they offer..

So when people offer to pray for you or say they are praying for you just thank them politely for their concern and move to a different topic...

But I don’t ask individuals to pray for me, but when I’m going into the hospital I do explain that and add that prayers are appreciated.

You disagree there is only one God?

this is the weirdest day I've ever had on this supposedly Christian forum.. Satan is having a field day..

Notice the Christian symbol. Why would I disagree that there is only one God? Perhaps you should pay more attention to what I’m replying to. I disagree that prayers for healing of others, in this case for the healing of Christians, from non-Christians do no good.

I wouldn't ask for it, but I believe it would come off as rude if you ask them not to.
As for God answering prayers I'd say its a lot more likely for the first two groups mentioned then the latter two. Wiccans pray to a goddess and hindus pray to pretty much everything. At least with Muslims and Jews they pray to the Abrahamic God
Minor point ... but Muslims pray to a demon masquerading and counterfeiting the one, true God.

Jews pray to the same God as our God of the Bible, only don't accept Jesus Christ as an intercessory for prayer. Does God heed the prayers of Jews anyway? Purely subjective on my part, but I say yes.

The Muslims praying to their god? No way, not no how.

But, again, we aren’t talking about a Muslim praying for their own benefit. That is a whole different issue. We are talking about them praying for the healing of a Christian.

Who are they praying to? Can I pray to my dog to heal my neighbor? How much worse praying to a demon to heal my neighbor?

I think that no matter who they are praying to in cases such as this, a loving God will hear and answer their prayer.

i have a number of friends who are not Christians. Among them are several Jewish friends, a number of Muslims, several Wiccans and a couple Hindus.

During a recent illness I had friends who contacted me via Facebook to say that they were praying for my recovery. These included prayers from my Jewish, Muslim, Wiccan and Hindu friends.

I believe God hears prayers for healing from my non-Christian friends as much as He hears prayers from my Christian friends. However I’ve had Christians tell me that I should not ask for prayers from non-Christians. Thoughts?

God here's everyone's prayers, I tend to think that god cares more on what is in our hearts and how we live than how we worship. Some of the basic rules of Christianity like helping the poor and the needy are not followed. How often do people here drive by a homeless person on the road holding a sign asking for food and you ignore them. Many have excuses...tell them to get a job, your just trying to get money for booze or drugs...all the excuses not to help those in need. Well Jesus is very clear about the fates of those who ignore those in need...you go to hell. So many people preach the gospel but do not follow the teachings of the gospel. Here is a line from the book of mark maybe this will help.

Mark 9:38-41 New International Version (NIV)
38 “Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.

39 “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us. Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.

That passage says alot to me maybe it will help you

Rediculous. Would you say that heretics pray to demons as well? Muslims pray to the abrahamic God whether their beliefs are correct or not.

God can listen to anyone He chooses.

Anyone can pray for me who wishes.

Your friends' advise is false. After all, do not many of them think you're "really Christian" until you say the Unbiblical "sinner's prayer"?

Anything other than the one, true God of the Bible is a counterfeit, thus of Satan.

Allah is in no way, shape or form the one, true God of the Bible. He is a counterfeit invented whole cloth by a Satan-led false prophet.

I'm surprised in this day and age, and especially on a forum like CF, that anybody would believe otherwise.

Have you studied Islam at all? Mohammed's whole goal was to bring something closer to Judaism to his own people. Most Muslims live more pious lives then most modern Christians from my perspective.

Allah is simply Arabic for God, and Mohammad claimed the Truth of the Bible, but said that parts of it had been corrupted. In orthodox writings it was even said that he started out as a nestorian but obviously had some schizophrenia.

I think if you studied the Quran you would see how close it is to Biblical Judaism.

The Jews and Muslims both reject Gods son

Catholicism has many unbiblical prayers.
