AT the time of His Nativity according to the flesh, that part of the world was called Palestine by the Romans.

Israeli properly means someone born or naturalized in the modern (post 1948) state of Israel.

Throughout the OT God calls the nation Israel, so I can't imagine the name never existed before 1948.

Where does the Bible use the term "Israeli?"

BCV, please.

I agree. If I ever meet Jesus he will be middle eastern I think.

You know Middle Eastern people are Caucasian people right? same same..

You seem to have a real problem with that..

If "Abdomni" means both red hair and golden hair, why isn't anyone suggesting Jesus is blonde? It seems all images of Mary depict her as a blonde woman.

No I don't have a problem with that. I'm having an open discussion really.

Was Jesus middle eastern? Or was he Caucasian?

I like a lot of the Eastern Orthodox images of Christ; they often depict Him as having bronze or ochre colored skin, dark brown hair, and dark eyes. Very beautiful.

What is BCV?

I did not say the Bible includes Israeli. God called the nation Israel.

I think he meant "Book, Chapter, Verse."

And God called the ancient nation (which included all 12 tribes) "Israel," and the people "Israelites" (not "Israelis").

Pictures that show a Caucasian and a middle eastern of course

I grew up LDS and have Caucasian pictures of Jesus. I was taken by surprise at one vision I had of Heavenly Father's spirit and realized that I really didn't know what Jesus looks like. That was a turning point in my belief regarding his likeness. Not that it really matters. He is Jesus after all is said and done. But it's fun to discuss for me.

I believe he was most likely Middle Eastern.

If the word "Caucasian" means anything at all, it includes Middle Eastern people.

Here, once again, are the European (Greek Cypriot) woman and the Middle Eastern (Samaritan) woman I posted before, plus another European (Italian) woman and another Middle Eastern (Assyrian) woman (all in random order). Can you tell which is which?

Nobody really knows exactly. And perhaps God wanted it that way.

Yea I kinda wonder about that because doesn't the bible say that the apostles didn't recognize him when He visited them after the resurrection? Luke 24:16
