The assertion that paul was rich is not supported by scripture. Paul was working class.

1 Corinthians 4:11-13 New International Version (NIV)
11 To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless. 12 We work hard with our own hands.

Paul “poured himself out like drink” for Christ. He didn’t start poor.

God uses the rich and the poor monetarily. God can only use the “poor” in Spirit.

Christianity isn’t a call to Carnal wealth or Carnal Poverty... but a willingness to be used as Jesus sees fit.

In scripture... rich and poor have nothing to do with “money”.

It is the Judas’s that will be sorry, come the final day.

There's many times that the New Testament says that it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich people to enter to the kingdom of God.

Difficult is not impossible. Is it difficult? Yes.

This is why it is difficult from the Parable of the Sower:

"Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful"
- Matthew 13:22

Which is why we pray:

"Two things I request of You
(Deprive me not before I die):
8 Remove falsehood and lies far from me;
Give me neither poverty nor riches—
Feed me with the food allotted to me;
9 Lest I be full and deny You,
And say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or lest I be poor and steal,
And profane the name of my God."
-Proverbs 30:7-9

Personally, I believe that God owns all and is intimately involved in my life. I work because work is good and work glorifies God. As far as providing for my family goes, that's up to God. I'm thankful that God has blessed me with abundant wealth. In response to that, my wife and I live entirely debt free and give most of it away. But we are certainly still wealthy by any measuring stick out there. But the wealth belongs to God, He can take it away any time He wants. But so long as He blesses us, we'll continue to be used as a pass-through to glorify Him.

Thats not true.

Acts of the Apostles 22:25-28

Paul started Enormously wealthy and spent his funds to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

And again... who is the “rich man” symbolic of in the parable of Lazarus and the rich man... and who is the poor man symbolic of in the same parable?

Who are the rich in James 2? Read the part in James 2:5-8 <~ Who was Jesus talking to when He warned of Blasphemy Against the Spirit?

Remember Jesus’ words... Blessed are the poor in Spirit and bind this to Paul (2 Corinthians 12:8)

This is my opinion.

All Blessings in Jesus Christ to You

Who are the rich in the story of the widows mite? Paul simply gave like the church of acts 4 did.

The widows mite is a symbol of Faith, like the mustard seed. IMO
A symbol of faith? No sir its not. Its about real money and about whos money is more valuable to God. (the poor widows money)

Your assertion that biblical wealth isnt about real money is not supported by scripture. Sometimes wealth is symbolic but not always.

What does God need of money? Faith working through Love can employ Money, but condemning humanity for having money is Judgmental and void of Christ’s teachings.

Ministers that grow fat on funds out of congregation extortion is where the issue becomes.

I’m not currently wealthy, but the truth hurts... a wealthy persons financial contributions can provide for many.

The widows mite is far from a simple Carnal teaching... IMO.

But, I understand your point and respect your stance.

All Love in Jesus Christ to you.

My point is that the story refers to real money, which is true. You cannot say otherwise unless you distort the message.

This is about truth not judgment.

So to serve mammon means to serve money, in your opinion?

No, it can refer to any wealth but its real wealth not symbolic.

The rich man and the eye of the needle is about people that boast in their Spiritual Wealth or “Self Righteousness”. Jesus made this abundantly clear.

We aren’t supposed to judge by physical standards. Physical wealth or poverty does not define the value of a person according to scripture. This is my opinion.

You're wrong. How much we give does seem important to God, as the widows mite teaches us.

I understand giving to the Gospel financially... is important... or however a person can give.

I respect your opinion that I’m wrong. I lovingly agree to disagree with you, on the implications of the passages when read in light of all scripture.

Is a man Saved or condemned... by money?

All Love in Jesus Christ to you.
