The agency in this case is the US Military. I don’t think they peddled HRC and DNC foreign opposition research.

They report facts and control the assets in question. So yes I believe people who once held my job to be truthful in reporting.

Believe me, even if something accidentally went off course that would be in the report.

If the wreckage was in Iranian waters or on their land we would be seeing it on Mullah Television right now.

I was being facetious to the extent that Russian claims backed Iran … I wasn't about trump believing Putin over our agencies. Peace....

No one is disputing Iran shot it down...I certainly never did. What’s in dispute is “where” it was, when it was shot.

And you certainly have posted what seems to be your “expert opinion” on many things that are clearly in dispute…Without providing any corroborating evidence…

Again, how far outside of Iranian airspace do you know that drone was when it was shot? 1 mile? 10 miles? 1000 feet?
Show us your sources.

And what about those nuclear warheads that flew over Japan that you expertly claimed happened?

I provided a UN official statement video that said it was in international airspace. I can't remember where I found it but it's in my posts. No conspiracy theories please.

Iran is an ancient nation not an invented dream country of colonialists. People are patriotic and will defend their country. Just like Russia.

What happened to your denunciation of patriotism and country? ^_^ Or does that only apply to Europe? ^_^

I can understand that some people have enough faith to fly planes in to skyscrapers while still disproving of the act itself.

Just as I can understand that some people feel or have been cultivated to feel patriotic and will be more resistant to influence outside of their point of view like in Iran.

People like

Joseph Goebbels - Wikipedia

were very efficient at instilling patriotic and racial fervor but it would probably have been a better world if people had thought for themselves and not blindly died for the flag, their Gods and their kings, queens and fuhrers in that order.

Trump could cure cancer and some would still castigate him for doing it.

This is a pretty moot point since the coup was in 1953 and Trump was born in 1946. I do not think that anyone has blamed Trump for his policies and actions when he was 7 years old.

Nope, that is why I love that despite his bluster, arrogance, threats, vanity and pettiness he is also a nonachiever and gutless.

Very ugly talk. It sounds like you listen to a lot of propaganda.

Having FIVE children currently serving in the military, I was extremely pleased and heartened to hear him part with his advisers on canceling the strike they wanted on Iran. He asked how many people would be killed. When his advisers said 150 Iranian people would be killed, he called off the strike and said 150 people dying is not proportionate to downing an unmanned drone.

My children and most of their military colleagues are strong supporters of Trump. They feel more confident that he values their lives than the other options. They were THRILLED that Hillary was not elected. They did not feel she would place the value of their lives above her own political ends. They are hoping and praying for his re-election.

Do you have any idea how many people, most of them civilians, have been killed by the Saudi Arabian coalition in Yemen by American weapons that Trump has been very enthusiastically selling them ?

Trump has no problem giving more value to dollars and American jobs than some measly civilians dying at Arabian Peninsula. Nor does has sad narrative of being concerned of 150 lives have much value when you look at his actions.

Only thing he is worried about, quite understandably, is getting US out of the mess he started in the first place. He knows war is as unpopular as his empty rhetoric is popular.

With five children serving I would think you would have some moral issue supporting a draft dodger but I guess not.

India had been one of the most stubborn consumers of cheap Iranian crude. However, it's being reported that even India has completely stopped it's purchases from Iran and is instead buying more US and Saudi oil. It's not just the current administration. I remember Secretary Clinton under President Obama coaxing India to cut Iranian imports.

To be clear, China is still defying US sanctions.

If a recalcitrant nation like India changed its ways, does that mean sanctions are working? Was the President right all along? If he is, are sanctions a peaceful resolution to the Iran situation? All are free to discuss.

Here are some links:
Iran sanctions: Indian Oil is stepping up imports of US and Saudi crude - CNN

Treasury Secretary Mnuchin: Existing sanctions against Iran are working

India will buy Iran oil despite US sanctions, says Dharmendra Pradhan

Clinton says India needs to do more on Iranian oil imports - Reuters
Sanctions do not work to create peace, they only serve to drive the people of a country to poverty and anger. Two characteristics that breed radicalism in a population. Iran is not a hostile country, how many wars has Islamic Republic of Iran been in since they came about as a country? Compare that to the US. Which country has been more hostile. And if proxy groups are funded by Iran, compare that to how many proxy groups and terrorists groups have been funded by the US. If Iran's government can't be trusted count up how many times it's lied to it's people. Then look to the US and see how many times the United States Government has lied to it's people and other countries. Who has told more lies, and who has told more lies that led to war.

Iran is not the aggressor, the United states is the aggressor. The US should lift it's sanctions on Iran and leave the area(middle east), no good can(or has) come from the US interfering in middle eastern affairs.

Ah yes. Godwin hasn't lived in vain it seems.
Of course the very concept of patriotism is = nazism. Of course. ^_^

So you are arm chair moralizing my children who have stepped up to put their very lives on the line?

You think they should have chosen Hillary just because she never had the opportunity to avoid the draft (like her husband did)? We already had a preview of her competence with the Benghazi debacle. I can tell you I wouldn't prefer having my children deployed under her command at all. I was very thankful that she wasn't elected, and that my children wouldn't have to serve under her.

It seems like your whole position is Trump = bad. No matter what one says, your response is Trump= bad wrapped up in a whole bunch of ugly words. So, no rational conversation can result from here.

Only thing he is worried about, quite understandably, is getting US out of the mess he started in the first place.

Yep, because when he took office the middle east was a quagmire of peace, love, unity and happiness. Right.

Again, my recommendation is stop believing all of the propaganda. Discussions with people who have inhaled and believe propaganda are not fruitful, so I'm out of here.

Peace,
E.

Oops you used a Russian source.

The Iranians also have a doctored photo of a UAS being shot down and claimed this is the one over their territory. Turns out it’s a photo from Oman.

Just as I thought.
