Looking for a seer.

Hello,
I am a Christian and looking for someone who is also a Christian and able to see in the spirit. I am praying for my son and myself for healing. There's something that blocks our healing and if anyone is willing to help me please contact me here. I would greatly appreciate it.

That sounds kind of New Agey. Ask God to heal you, and that His Will be done. That's about it.

Gracia's right. Being "able to see in the spirit" isn't biblical and aligns more with psychics and familiar spirits and such (which is occultic/demonic). New age ideas are found in lots of things so as believers in Christ, we must always be careful. If you've asked God for healing, then you must wait and have faith. Those who ask for healing aren't always healed but regardless of being healed or not, we have to trust in God because His ways are higher than ours and His ways are perfect.

“As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.” Psalms 18:30

Yes. I agree. There is nothing in the New Testament that refers to someone acting as a seer. Also, healing is not guaranteed. God is sovereign, and if He decides not to heal, then He has a good reason for it.

A "seer" is just another name for an occult psychic. If you consult with someone like that you can open yourself to a spirit of divination which will certainly block your fellowship with God. I know that there are Christian books on prophetic "seers" but they contain false teaching. God works in us through the indwelling Holy Spirit, not through others who have some type of spiritual "eye" that can see into people's lives.

Actually, the "New Age" version is the counterfeit. A "seer" is a variation of the dream interpreter. Even though that gift is not listed in the New Testament, it is clearly exhibited in the Old Testament with Joseph & Daniel. Daniel had a vision of Nebuchadnezzar's dream AND he interpreted it...!

Further, it is a sign of the Last Days. Peter, quoting Joel 2:28-32,

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:..." Acts of the Apostles 2:17 NKJV

The underlined function is that of a "seer."

I have had such glimpses, but I don't have anything for the OP. Sign Gifts would be the best sub-forum in which to broach this topic.

Welcome to the forums. There's nothing wrong with asking for this type of help. In fact, it gets to the heart of the matter. To me, it seems more like discerning of spirits with word of knowledge. Also, it takes a strong, humble believer to take this approach.

Healing is up to Yahweh but there are Scriptures that states sometimes why healing is hindered. Here's a couple 'Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered." I Peter Also having unforgiveness will hinder healing ". when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." Mark 11 Also, John 5 includes the disabled man who was healed and forgiven at the same time by Yeshua. There's at least 30 Scriptures that address this.

Trying to think of the Scriptures for this - will be back to post them -
Also, know if a couple of believers who were healed once they repented of spiritual warfare into certain areas without the leading of The Holy Spirit.

Blessings in Christ Jesus. Sometimes prayers have to be of two parts. One is unto The Lord for healing(a prayer of Faith) and the second is against that which hinders. Pray in The Spirit!

God is referred to as The Great Physician because He has the power to heal us both physically and emotionally if that is His will. I have suffered with chronic pain for many years. Despite the prayers of many faithful Christians, as well as my own, for my healing His answer continues to be "no". However, many years ago I was pregnant with my second child after miscarrying my first. An ultrasound showed the baby I was carrying was not developing correctly, so I was sent for all kinds of tests which produced all kinds of ultrasound photos. Without going into great detail, my infant girl had many developmental issues and was not going to live. Prayers throughout our church, our city, and our state petitioned God for her healing...and they were answered. That miracle baby is today a pediatric specialist helping babies with developmental issues. It was God's will to heal my baby, but not to heal me. I am more than okay with it. In fact , I'm overjoyed with it. You need to faithfully pray to the Lord and accept His will. Stay away from New Age thinking that puts you, or anyone other than the Lord, in control.

The OP didn't ask for healing. She asked, "What's the hold-up (for my healing)?"

I don't want to dwell on the issue much longer just because I see lidusfabri2 is new here and I wouldn't want her to feel unwelcome or cause unnecessary division.

But I'd just like to add that the post does say "there's something that blocks our healing and if anyone is willing to help me please contact me here." So contacting someone to explain why God has not answered her prayers of healing seems problematic on a doctrinal level. The Bible (as far as my knowledge goes) doesn't explicitly say to do this, therefore it may be a risky endeavor as there's much deception and false doctrine lurking about.

lidusfabri2, I pray that you follow the Lord Jesus in the fullness of His Truth and if it be in God's Will for your life, then may you find the answer to your prayers that you've been looking for. With much love sister, God bless you. :wave:

I have seen demons, angels and God, so seeing in the spirit it is possible even to Christians and not just the new age stuff. We have access to God and so we can operate in the spirit and live victorious lives in Jesus Christ.
The veil was torn top to bottom at Jesus’ death. The veil was a symbol of the separation of God from sinful mankind. Isaiah 59:2 declares that “your iniquities [or sins] have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear you.” The veil being torn it signified that now the way into the Holy of Holies was open for all people and for all time. Jesus Christ, through His death, has removed the barriers between God and man, and now we may approach Him with confidence and boldness, Hebrews 4: 14-16. “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Isaiah 53:5 “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

So, this means that God’s will is to heal the sick, no doubt about it. Jesus also provided us with everything we need to live victorious and holy lives. 2 Peter 1: King James Bible
”According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”

I ask for healing and not amiss and for selfish purposes, but to fulfill my destiny.

Agree with you - seeing in the spirit is possible for believers. Asking Yahweh to reveal what the problem is.
