My opinion only, you most closely emulate a combination of Rachel Maddow and Jim Acosta. But my opinion could certainly be mistaken, you just frequently sound a whole like like them to me.

Yes, it could certainly be mistaken...! An Aussie, choosing American journalists as his “leaders”...?

Hahahaha....!

I’m not hung up....it’s just that my correspondent makes quite a habit of demanding citation whenever claims are made....except when he’s making them, it would seem...

That's seems to be a habit some folks pick up when other posters here do it to them first.

It it goes back to the worn out ploy "if you can't find a citation it must not have happened so your argument is false", even though the event did happen. (I once got asked for a citation for what I had for breakfast) ^_^

Websites do regularly scrub their content sometimes making it hard for you to find what you want making their argument seem credible when it isn't. So if folks want this practice to stop maybe they should practice having honest/enlightened/knowledgeable adult conversations instead of politically ideological motivated ones, the forums would be a better place...

Happy to see you now get it..

What statements are those, exactly?

Ah, another "saying it makes it a fact"... I see. :)

I've already made it clear what statements I was correcting, so i'm not going to repeat myself. I'm confident that others reading this thread can read the content and form their conclusions on their own.

Being that you have no intent for substantive debate, there's not really any reason to discuss this any further anyway. Take care.

I already supported my statements with actual fact. I explained the logic behind the whole thing in detail more than once. However when one goes contrary like has happened here, no good sense/logic will get through to them....that's why they call it contrary.

Trump raised a record amount of money because they love him, so what? It's not the end of the world, and I suppose you're just going to have to live with it....not sure what else I can say to help you.

Exactly what do you think people are asking for when they request a citation?

Look up about 2 posts plus there is a few more reasons for asking but it's not because they want to learn, you've been here way longer than me so I know you've seen what I'm saying.

I disagree. I generally ask for a citation on a factual claim that I either can't find or find to be unlikely. I have, on more then one occasion, been pleasantly surprised when a poster came back with an insightful link that proved their point.

The people who voted for Trump believed every lie that came out of that lying con artist’s mouth. I started to believe all of Trump’s lies because I was told he was a great businessman who could drain the swamp.

It wasn’t until after Trump got into office that I finally discovered what a lying con-artist he truly is.

Now Trump is spewing out the same lies thinking he can do it again.

What was the Obama supporters' mantra?
Hope and change or fundamentally transform the US or O- BA-MA something like that. And Obama had his own personal flag with his own personal symbol on it. Now there's humility.

Exactly what do you think people are asking for when they request a citation?

90% of the time I ask for a citation it is to find out if the post I am requesting info on is either actual fact from a substantive source or a POV. (Opinion)

I Place impetus on sustainable fact, and take opinion with a grain of salt.

"Yes we Can!" is the one that first comes to my mind and in my opinion is far better than "MAGA/KAG" or "lock her up!" or "build the wall!" or "drain the swamp!"

I've never seen the Obama flag but if humility is something you care about at all I don't see how Donald Trump could ever be your guy.

That is one of the many reasons Trump is not my guy. Jesus is my guy. I don't have a guy or a gal in politics. I don't idolize politicians or celebrities or expect much good to come from any of them, I consider what they propose to do , what they have actually done in the past and decide which of the two very flawed, and in many cases morally bankrupt, individuals will do the least amount of harm and vote for that one.

Ok. Forget I called him your guy. You mentioned humility like it's important to you. Did you see Trump as more or less humble than the alternative?

Also, do you have a picture of the Obama flag? I'm curious what thing looks like.

I’m sure that Donald J Trump has scads of trophy cases filled with testaments to his humbleness!
