i have been taught that authority is:
god
jesus
man
woman

where are the angels in this pyramid of authority?

The angels are subject to Christ who has all authority even though they are greater in power than man. What if the host of heaven occupies more of a right hand left hand place rather then a one over the other type of placement?

Why do you believe there is a "pyramid of authority"?

Remember what the Lord Himself taught? "The greatest among you is your slave."

This kind of authoritarian model many people have simply does not comport well with the way Scripture speaks of the relational dynamics between people and between people and God.

God's disclosure of Himself through Jesus is Incarnational and Kenotic. Recall St. Paul, "Have this same attitude in yourselves that was in Christ Jesus, who though being in the form of God did not regard equality with God a thing to be exploited, but emptied Himself, taking on the form of a slave, born in human likeness" (Philippians 2:5-7)

God shows Himself in humility.

Look to what St. Paul also says in Ephesians 5, when he says "be subject to one another out of reverence to Christ", this mutual subjection is always a two-way street: wives to their husbands, husbands to their wives; children are to honor their parents, parents are not to provoke their children; slaves obey their masters, masters obey their slaves.

God's order is not authoritarian, like a pyramid; it is demonstrated and presented as loving service and sacrifice, humility and pouring oneself out for others.

The reason you aren't finding angels in this "pyramid of authority" is because there is no "pyramid of authority". Angels are simply our fellow-servants, as the author of Hebrews calls them, "ministering spirits".

Yes, God is Holy, Sovereign, and Lord over and above all things; but see how He exercises His dominion, He exercises His dominion through the humility and, indeed, humiliation of the cross. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, God demonstrates His love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve. God's kingdom and dominion is manifest through the self-emptying, self-sacrificing humility of God in Christ.
