Multiple users have strongly suggested that I move, so that I can find a partner. I live in South Dakota, and I haven't been able to find any godly candidates.

So then, can you suggest great places to move to, for this purpose? I'm drawn to Oregon, but I don't know if that's a good place to find what I'm seeking.

Note: I fall under Protestantism (baptist, presby, etc.).

What do you do for work?

Online student now, and later I plan to be a remote worker (programming). So, that doesn't limit me.

Move to a city. If a job wouldn't bring you there, perhaps you have family or friends already living in some city who would be a connection. Or maybe you find a really good church in some city that you'd like to be part of.

I'm in a city now; I need specific areas that give me good odds.

I lived in Colorado for over ten years - mostly in Denver but a few years in Colorado Springs. While the cost of living has definitely risen in Denver since I moved in 2008, it is a great place to live as far as weather and number of churches among other aspects. There's a lot of single people who gravitate to Denver as well.

@blackhole I appreciate you wanting to solicit some advice from other Christians, but is part of your problem that you have trouble making decisions on your own? Why would you ask a group of strangers what city you should move to?

Because I'm neither omniscient nor omnipresent, and I haven't lived everywhere.

I would not move anywhere.

25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.
27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you. - 1 Corinthians 7

I would, though, visit other areas and be friendly with others. God has in his heart to create all a new. We will not think back on anything we have missed out on earth.

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. - Isaiah 65:17

I use that same text to argue precisely the opposite of the point you're making.

"in light of this present distress" acknowledges that the norm is to seek a wife. But for them, life was, or was about to become, extremely difficult.
