A deeply flawed opinion in the sense that if one chooses not to become involved in the tragedy of others they are deemed to be a "sociopath".

Where we fail as parents and teachers is that we don't illustrate fully the dangers of this and other destructive behaviors. We are overprotective to the point of endangering our kids by their ignorance, or reticent to reveal our own 'carnal knowledge' to them out of fear of sullying our own image in their eyes. Children as young as five can be taught to flee "stranger danger". Let's teach them the whole package.
