What do you think about global government?

It would be very bad. At least with multiple governments there is a place to flee to if you're under oppression. Imagine if the whole world had a government like Iran or North Korea or was in constant turmoil like the Sudans or Somalia.

I don't see many good things coming from a world government at all. Sure, there could be potential benefits. But I think the potential for oppression and evil far outweighs the benefits.

At the same time, global unity isn't the same as a global government per se. It's more like countries working together better instead of all forming their own possibly-contradictory policies. That could be a good thing or not so good depending on the context. We could get a lot of good things done, or we could get a lot of bad things done.

Sure...When Christ returns. Until then we don't need a repeat of the Holy Roman Empire (although some prophecies do suggest this very thing).

Or it’s always in waiting. I found a commentary note on 2 Thess. 2:7—"For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work..."—that stuck with me:

"The lawlessness of the world holds this “mystery” of St Paul In solution, ready to precipitate itself. It betrays itself in many partial and transitional manifestations, until “in its season” it shall crystallize into its complete expression. Let reverence for law disappear in public life, along with religious faith, and there is nothing to prevent a new Cæsar becoming master and god of the civilized world, armed with infinitely greater power."

In the nefarious sense of a One World Government, the words from the pages of the New World Order appear to be manifesting.

Just the same, you might as well have asked, do you believe one day there shall be a shadow Government?

They gave president Obama a toy cell phone, do you think they restricted president George Washington's ability to communicate, and gave him a toy instead?

Our governments have been Bought Out, Bribed, Blackmailed, or Butchered, the movie Hunger Games looks like a prophetic similitude portraying how the British systematically overthrew the U.S. (government), and condemned us to kill one another or die.

If a nation goes to the polls, yet the polls are rigged, who are the people voting for?

According to our Judicial system, One is required to have a Lawyer for one reason, and one reason only, Incompetence!

They see the general public as being too incompetent to be making important decisions (and I oh so hate it when I find myself agreeing with my adversaries), yet they promote, and induce the incompetence of immature beings to retain the authority of the people, and secure their positions as our Legal Guardians.

If the nation currently exercising World Domination (the new and improved U.S. of A) are no longer whom they presume to be (the good ole U.S.A.), then what makes you think any nation is whom their citizens presume it to be?

The so called Elites have created a virtual reality that is comprable to a Matrix, yet we are quickly approaching the unveiling of their mock governments, we can see this Exposure already occurring throughout the lower eschelon of their ranks, where Police Officers, and (lower court) Judges, Senators, and Presidents who know a great number of the people are no longer naive, yet they also know that there is no one for them to run to, and tell, resulting in PTSD, Fear, and Paranoia over a corrupt government that no longer appears to be concerned with being discreet with their inappropriate conduct performed in the line of duty.

In the scriptural sense, there are two types of a One World Government, Daniel portrays Babylon as a string of nations that exercise World Domination, until the Deity of heaven and earth establishes a kingdom on earth where the saints not only inherit it, but every kingdom under heaven as well.

I suppose it is expedient that those who are without faith, that they continue to stand in denial and disbelief as it pertains to the scope of their government's corruption, less fear equals more love, which buys them time to acquire (more) faith. ❤

Not only in theater, but novels, songs, etc., I have a friend who points out prophetic anomalies to me all the time, there is (or was) even a following of the Simpsons which foresaw Trump's inauguration long before it transpired, airplanes flying into the twin towers, the only way to debunk these as prophetic excerpts is to conclude these events were orchestrated by a super government agency, who notified the general public in advance before manifesting it into a reality.

It has a lot of people paying closer attention, I only wish it would inspire them to look into the Gospel, and for those already in the scriptures, I wish it would prompt them to look a little deeper.

It's been an idea that's been around for a long time in political circles. There's an interview with Carl Teichrib about what goes on when the Parliament of World Religions meets every several years. The Pope isn't the only religious or political person thinking along these lines.
