I believe 9/11 was so extremely painful for the people of this nation that many people did and said things they later regretted. I remember reading a few months after the event that people in New York City who were accustomed to walking their Afghan dogs in Central park no longer did so due to the reaction of others when realizing the origin of the breed. That was just the tip of the iceberg for what has shown us so much hatred since that awful day.

I believe when people humbly ask for forgiveness that is what is expected of us to do. Our Savior would accept your apology and we should too.
