Why then when I shop at an online store it has me living in another state until I reveal to the store where to ship the items? So if you use a VPN (to conceal your location) and use Duckduckgo to search online theres people following you around?

I dont use Chrome or Google
Are your Online stores trying to hunt you down?
No, that's why they not directly exploiting the vulnerabilities.

Even DuckDuckGo can be monitored

Well the thing about online stores that concerns me is having accounts (I dont want any of those) I prefer buying as a guest. But when you are there putting things in your cart they have a different zipcode for you until you change it to the true location. Hiding your location from a store you are purchasing from makes no sense, they have to send you the items you are purchasing. But I have never seen my true zipcode displayed as I shop using a VPN, I can tell its displayed.

My concerns are that. The things concerning the NSA in that article that do not concern me thats not big on my priorities. I could care less if NSA knows I am searching for Butter crunch lettuce seeds, I'm sure they have better things to be in awe over.

Are you advising using zero precautions online?

No, but at the same time, unless you're doing something illegal, if you just use normal security you'll be fine.
Keep your OS Up to date with all security patches.
Use an Ad Blocker With your web browser.
Keep your AntiVirus software up to date.

And don't live in fear of the boogeyman.

Listen to the video ...it DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SMART PHONE!! You will be suckered into being a part of this new world system of buying and selling based upon your "social credit score".

The problem is not smartphones. The problem is as old as the garden of Eden. It is the LIE that God knows good and evil.
The whole social credit system which is already a part of Chinese society and soon to be a part of western society is rooted in the Satanic LIE that God knows good and evil.

And my dear brothers and sisters in Christ.....most of us who name His name, believe that lie and live accordingly!

The social credit system which smartphones are the medium for work like this....Do good, get a point...do not do good and no points. Not enough points to get a flight...instead you have to take a bus. SO you better do more good deeds to be rewarded. Just like religion! Thinking that God is like the Central Communist Government...always watching you from afar, looking at your score..."Do good you unholy worm of a sinner!" "Do better!! Sinner!!" "Be more like the way you imagine Jesus to be! Or else I will put your name in my black book!! "
This is Satan's religion.
God does NOT KNOW GOOD AND EVIL my brethren.

The more I listened to the speaker in the above videos the more I see that Christianity fits straight into the same mold.

The answer is not opting out of smartphones. The answer is to take as your own reality and truth what God says in His word about you...that is this....

You are crucified...already have been crucified with Christ, already have died with Christ, you no longer live, but it is CHRIST who lives inside you. And the life that you now live....is Christ living AS you, by His own faith inside of you.
You already please the Father ONLY BY HAVING JESUS INSIDE YOU.
You are impervious to being bribed according to what you do..Accusations have no power over you. You and Jesus ARE ONE! No condemnation can stick to the one who knows Jesus as their ONLY LIFE.
But the one who is standing before God as an imagined separate entity...trying to be like Jesus by what they do and don't do...that one will only know condemnation, accusations and defeat. They will strive to be good, to do more, ...and in so doing will continue in death, being condemned and accused.
There remains a rest for the people of God!
Those who have entered His rest have themselves CEASED from their works.

If your identity is tied up with what you do and don't do for God....then you are already hooked into Satan's Social Credit Score system.

Then it's now Satanic to be obedient to God, and do/not do as the bible tells us?

Theres no reason to live in fear of a fictional boogieman when taking precautions against real hackers

Much of what I consider normal security is VPN's, Encrypted email, Ad blocker, Anti virus, Life lock, Avoiding social media platforms. Its not about you doing something illegal its about precautions to be taken against those who do what is illegal.

I didn't get that either, theres nothing wrong with doing good

Some here try to make it appear doing good is bad, even though the bible says the opposite. I recall a time when the basic message was "Be good, go to heaven, don't, and go to hell", but then the more popular way came along because people got selfish, and wanted an easier way. I have some news for WESTOZZIE

John 5:28 Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.

At least that's what Christ tells us. It's still ok to listen to Christ? Right?

People worry too much about online info. Unless your doing something illegal, you have nothing to worry about. VPNs are good and all but if the FBI asked your ISP about your activity, they can give it to them. For example ISPs know alot of people download software, music, movies...etc illegally. But they don't really care because they don't want to lose you as a paying customer. The only time they "pretend" tend to care is when a company (or agency) contacts them about you. Then your ISP will give them what they want and give you a "three strike" speech. Not to mention your ISP can see how much data you use. If you are using a few gigs a month then its obvious you are downloading big files (software, tv shows, movies). Again your ISP doesn't really care.

Now would I openly give anyone access to my online stuff? No. No point in letting people see what I do unless I need to. If the cops came over for whatever reason and wanted to access my stuff I would let them. Got nothing to hide. I do have a VPN, a friend gave me access to his he uses (NordVPN). But I never really use it. Just makes things a hassle. Though it is good so I can access things that you can't normally access in america. By that I mean if I wanted to watch shows on the BBCs site, I can't because I am in America. But if I make it like I from Britan, I can then watch it.

And lets be honest, if you are at a site like this or a christian. Odds are you are already on some gov watchlist. They consider anyone who believes in a "saviour" who will come back to be people who are potential threats. Doesn't mean we are considered bad or anything, they just know some christians can be extreme.

That also said I almost had a job at the FBI in our major city. I was suppose to be part of the computer crimes division. Long story, but I wasn't 18 yet so they said when I turned 18 they would go through the paperwork and see how I did with them. But I had a grand mal seizure that gave me a brain injury after I turned 16. So my abilities went downhill and they were no longer interested. So I don't think they cared that I was a christian or not.

Last side note, a VPN is sort of useless if the government is interested in you anyways. They can just tap your lines, install stuff on your PC and what not. Even a simple key logger would let them see what you do online (more or less). It's also why it good to a geek. You learn all about this stuff. I find most people are surprised to see how many times a second their computer is "attacked" or probed for various things. Can't recall its name now but I used a Zonealarm Firewall and it blew my mind. Though now we have good firewalls and what not, we still are not invincible. The only real way to do so is to never go online. Unplug your phone line from your PC. No wifi either. Granted that does not stop people from coming in and bugging your PC or installing software you would probably not know about.

---edit---
Saying all this probably has some government agency annoyed. lol. I don't care though. If they seen what I do online they would be bored to tears. I come here, I go to Reddit, check my email, go to Youtube and Netflix.

Exactly, I believe we are to do good, nothing wrong with that

Gal 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Also careful using a VPN to access ChristianForums without permission can get you banned.
Admin Announcement - Use of Proxy or VPN Servers

I think this is bad.

Two years ago, I worked in the Middle East and I used obfuscating tools to use CF, one of them is VPN. Even the items displayed on my screen had aliases automatically generated. For example, the word "God" is displayed as another word. The website url also given alias. All multimedia and ads blocked. Anyone looking at my screen would think I'm working instead of accessing CF site.

There's no way I would access CF without a VPN because the gov't could track me to this site and potentially result to a prison sentence. Accessing Christian websites and reading the Bible online is most definitely illegal in a Muslim, Sharia Law country / region.

So what about the Christians who are staying in a Muslim country? They most definitely need to use VPN to access CF anonymously.

I don't keep anything on my computer, no history, no docs, no pics, no favorites, no nothing that I need or would cry about if ever accessed or lost. Nothing whatsoever. If I had ransomware I would just chuck my puter and buy a new one without a care concerning it. I prefer things simpler.

This is part 1
Her way of speaking is so calming even though she's basically sounding an alarm of sorts. Instead of being alarmed, my relaxation-response has overridden my fight-or-flight reflex. ☮️☮️☮️

So I'm not too worried. I like my smartphone, even if, at this point, it knows too much. :D
I have tape over the camera lens of my laptop and my tablet, if that helps. :D

Smart phones are handy though, one has got to admit. At least for some of us who have family living abroad and would like to stay intouch, as much as possible through texting, video calls, exchanging pictures and not forgetting also, for reading up on any current events/news from across the globe.

My phone listens in on everything that I say all of the time. Even responds to "Okay Google" when summoned. Apple has a similar feature called Siri. I have an Android phone though.

Smartphones are cool :sunglasses:
