The bishops have no hesitation in speaking up about political issues like immigration. But somehow they just never seem to have time to talk about Catholic politicians blatantly rejecting Church teachings. Says a lot about their priorities, tbh.

The bishops have no hesitation in speaking up about immigration issues. But somehow they just never seem to have time to talk about Catholic politicians blatantly rejecting Church teachings. Says a lot about their priorities, tbh.
Which leads me to believe we have multiple false shepherds in our hierarchy.

I'm not prepared to go quite that far but I do wonder sometimes. So far, giving them the benefit of the doubt has only ended with more indications that they're politically-motivated more than anything.

Exactly. One of my big issues since converting. The gravity of sin seems to depend on who you are. There is a Scripture verse that keeps coming to mind when I see this sort of thing. It's no wonder many Catholics are confused.
