I'm curious as to why some folks are so hung up on seeing a citation especially when they have no way of proving if it's true or false, only their own opinion on it's veracity.

I’m not hung up....it’s just that my correspondent makes quite a habit of demanding citation whenever claims are made....except when he’s making them, it would seem...

Hilarious, all those constantly going on about not wanting trump, now give us the:

"Whatchew talkin bout?"
I think the problem is with the absolutely ridiculous notion that "no one" wants Trump.

It's a ridiculous claim that could easily be withdrawn. But I'm sure we'll see plenty of doubling down.

We all know people like Trump. Cnn knows people don't like Trump
But guess what guys? We dont like Trump. This absurd idea that anyone who doesn't like Trump believes that nobody does, is some stupid. This absurd idea that your existence is being denied needs to come to an end.

Side note;. On inauguration day crowd size wasn't important comparing his to Obama.
Now comparing a president announcing his campaign draws a crowd "logically comparable" to a 1 in 20 candidate before the primaries.

What's ridiculous is those here that refuse to see, or what was that term? Hilarious? But you all keep digging yourself in deeper if you like.

Like I said, in the spirit it was said, I absolutely understand what the OP is saying. Op was referring to the many that constantly go on about how Trump is bad, and how it can appear no one likes Trump....that simple.

It's like saying, "I thought everyone liked so and so?", only meaning a lot of people showed they very much do, while of course, technically, "everyone" doesn't. But in the end, I'm only having to explain this very simple concept to those who are chewing on their sour grapes...nothing more to it.

How does someone who is “incredibly unpopular” draw a crowd 80 times larger than the man leading the Democratic field and raise more money in 24 hours than the top five Democratic contender have in 90 days?
In some cases by lying about his crowd numbers.

But really, 20,000 people or whatever is a small drop in the bucket compared to the voter pool of an entire state, much less the entire country. So I'm not sure why you think it is significant that he can draw the same crowd as a mid-tier college basketball team.

Because he's cultivated a cult-like following from his base (complete with mantras!) and held his rally in a more populous state.

Are we talking about Trump or Obama?

I understood the op as well.

What you seem to be explaining is a problem with how you all perceive the world. Not with reality.

On the plus side, kudos to you for staying around and engaging with people you disagree with even though you feel outnumbered.

Biden has raised $20 million. It's easy for Trump to get $20 million. Why, just a few days ago apparently Dupont Chemical offered his campaign $1 million if he would agree not to enforce a pollution law against them.

The Art of the Deal becomes dishonesty when practiced by Trump.

But never fear, Democrats. He will have a very hard time getting and keeping the help he needs to run a campaign. He can't keep cabinet members. He can't get new ones--or new legal staff. His impulsivity and dishonesty turn them off, and they know that when they apply for new jobs having worked for Trump will appear as a black mark on their records, an egregious error of bad judgment.

Nope, I'm explaining the actual reality.
In your second post you did. But not in the original argument at all. Let me show you the difference. I will emphasize the key would that got included in your last post:
Like I said, in the spirit it was said, I absolutely understand what the OP is saying. Op was referring to the many that constantly go on about how Trump is bad, and how it can appear no one likes Trump....that simple.
If you believe that was the spirit of the OP, you should ask the OP.
You can see that when he is challenged by his assertion, he doesn't clarify what the appearance is...he doubles down:
Citation. Includes the last three years on CNN
Then you join the fray
Heck, the last three years on CF.
Outside of editorials and commentaries, in presentation of Trump's actions during news segments where precisely do you have concerns?

At no point did either of you speak about an APPEARANCE. In the above quoted post where you use the word APPEAR, I would agree with you and if you read my response to that quote I'm suggesting that yes it may appear that way but it is not reality. I had thought that you were okay with using that word appearance; I was okay with it.

But now you are back to calling it "reality".

So just to clarify, is there an APPEARANCE that everyone goes on about how no one wants Trump (to OP was not addressing "how bad he is". So let's not get hooked up on that strawman) or do you have systemic, consistent, various and sundry QUOTES from individuals on hte left saying "nobody wants trump as president"?

I just want to make sure we don't start arguing about two different things.

Did you somehow, after all that's happened, think I was movable on what I see here? If so, you were mistaken.

Where have you seen posts from the left claiming that "no one likes Trump". I've seen exactly zero posts claiming that on these forums. People may say he's unpopular, but that isn't remotely the same claim as "no one likes Trump".

Feel free to provide citations, which neither you, nor hislegacy, have been able to do.

No. I'd hope you'd do a better job of clarifying and explaining your opinion. The most ambitious and daring part of me hoped you'd expand on your reasoning with specific evidence to support it.

I'm a bit disappointed you made no effort to clarify what you are actually arguing though. In an ideal world, you would have addressed my post in a meaningful way but...again... the hope for that was a bit small.

Oh, I see, it's just the last word you are interested in...that's fine. :)
