1) that is ridiculous pseudoscience
2) I live in Oregon. Please stay away from our forests.

I live in Washington. I can confirm, our forests in the PNW are magnificent, and I'd prefer them not being destroyed for no reason.

Forests replanted after clearcutting are so dense they choke out the sun and the entire ecosystem is destroyed.
Garbage.
Your contention is that we don't have the technology to plant trees correctly?
When happens to the ecosystem when it burns up?

Suggesting major reform to cut greenhouse gas emission isn't emotional hysteria, it's being reasonable.
Carbon isn't a problem in my world. It's the building block of life. If it's a problem in your world, sell all your modern belongings and live like the Amish; only without the animals because their flatulence is destroying your world.

But liberals don't want to give up anything themselves, they want to take things away from everyone else.

There are 58.5 million acres of roadless land in America, most of which people will never see. No need to destroy national parks or green, wetlands that are already doing their job. We're talking about areas of Utah and other westerns states where forest fires rage because we have no access or firebreaks. If CO2 were actually a problem, I'd think you'd agree that more trees would be a solution. No, you want more government.

Yesterday the Parliament of Canada declared a climate emergency. Canada's average rate of temperature increase is twice the global rate and in the High Arctic it is three times the global rate. Same with Greenland --- the melting of its glaciers and ice fields is astonishing. The potential for threatening sea level rises is now a clear and present reality.

I live in the real world. The paranoid claims of those who make millions off scaring people hold no weight with me. The population bomb didn't happen, the new ice age didn't happen, global warming didn't happen, and now repackaging everything after 17 years of cooling and calling it climate change isn't going to kill us either. Believe what you want, so long as your foolishness doesn't impact me and my family.

Good for them. They're neo-socialists anyway. Maybe they need to stop building fires and freeze. Maybe that would make 1 100th of one tenth of one percent difference.

17 of the last 18 years have been the warmest on record. To say it is cooling is a complete denial of reality.

No, it's true. The liberal answer to everything is more government, less freedom. Ever hear of a carbon tax? A gas guzzler tax? Federal excise tax? CAFE standards? Federal emission standards that bankrupted many trucking companies? "Assault weapon" bans? Gun free zones (aka free fire zones for criminals). Plans to bankrupt coal burning energy plants? Restrictions on coal production that put miners out of work? How about putting a moratorium on offshore drilling by the US and then giving a billion dollars to Brazil so they can start offshore drilling?

The liberal answer to every problem, real or imagined, is bigger government and fewer freedoms. You can't even add a room to your house without first getting permission. You can't conduct a transaction with cash (over $10k) without notifying the government. Still think you live in a free country?

You obviously live on a different planet.
But the record of satellite measurements of global atmospheric temperatures now shows no warming for at least 17 years and 5 months, from September, 1996 to January, 2014, as shown on the accompanying graphic. That is surely 17 years and 6 months now, accounting for February.

When the period of no global warming began, the alarmist global warming establishment responded that even several years of temperature data does not establish a climate trend. That takes much longer. But when the period of no global warming gets longer than the period of actual global warming, what is the climate trend then?

One of the characteristics of the climate phenomenon is that the entire planet isn't becoming uniformly warmer, but rather that the places that ought to be much colder (the poles) are becoming significantly warmer.

What the record actually shows for the years in question (roughly speaking, the last two decades) is that the rate of global warming dropped. Global warming has continued through that time period but at a reduced rate.

The only thing you need to know about climate change is that to demonstrate it people had to manipulate and falsify data. They were caught in the act.

There have been accusations to be sure but thorough investigations have been conducted by several universities around the world. No falsification was found. Several researchers were found guilty of trying to withhold their data from other researchers. This has been remedied.

Wanna take a wild guess why we've had an increase in large scale forest fires over the last few decades?

I live in the real world.

In the real world CO2 is a greenhouse gas. Increased CO2 in the atmosphere leads to increase in average global temperature.

And so unshockingly, as CO2 levels have increased, so have average global temperatures.
