In Jewish thought back then and today, one is saved and redeemed by being part of the saved and redeemed people.

You don't think Mary (in her early teens, don't forget) was saved by accepting YHVH into her heart as her personal savior, do you?

Can you imagine how Jesus feels about the amount of people who ridicule His Holy mother?

I truly believe that as a Catholic, my church acknowledges Mary in the correct and only way. We do not worship our Holy Mother. We venerate her. We love Her. We ask Her to intercede to Her son for us.

Catholicism is NOT Sola Scripture!

There are two ways of being saved from falling into a pit. One is to rescued after you have fallen in. The other way is to be kept from falling into the pit to start with.

We believe that by God's grace, which which of Holy Virgin always cooperated, preserved her from sin.

I guess that's part of the problem, the tradition differs between Catholics and Orthodox, so which one is correct?

Agree, I don't understand why so many people talk trash about the Mother of their Savior. If even pagans love their mothers, how much would God himself?

If Mary was sinless, why didn't she cast the first stone at the woman taken in adultery?
