Death.Tell me then what is Mary being saved from
Records from those around the time of Christ, and his followersI wish I could understand how exactly the Church came to this conclusion. Did an angel appear and tell them? Did someone just come running up one day and said the Holy Spirit told me that Mary never sinned? I mean it seems like a pretty important revelation that someone might’ve kept a record of how it came to be. I can’t find anything.
Can you imagine God, placing His son in an unclean vessel?
Mary was pure. A Holy Tabernacle for the Son of God.
She was chosen from before time began.
What is the sin of babies?Babies are sinners in need of a Savior
She had no personal sinsShe was a sinner in need of a Saviour
Babies don't sinThat's a bit circular, now, isn't it? Her choices would follow the kind of person that she was. Therefore, she could not have chosen to be sinless unless she already was.
If she did not sin, then she didn't need a savior. That's not something attributable to any human who ever lived, except Christ.
That does not follow. Catholics would say she was saved by her Saviour at conception. Note that this is not what I believe, just pointing out your mistake.Post 25 seems to say that Mary was kept from ever sinning which, if true, would mean no need for a savior
No, that was NOT the point of post 25. The point was that one can be saved from falling or saved after falling. In both cases there is a savior. Mary had a savior. Catholics contend that she was saved from falling. NOT that she had no need of a savior.Let's be sure of all these nuances or whatever. Post 25 seems to say that Mary was kept from ever sinning which, if true, would mean no need for a savior. But as for the alleged Protestant claims, I think we need more clarity. It sounds like the claim in question was about the Immaculate Conception. So not the same thing.
Every believer is an unclean vessel indwelled by God.
St Peter, the rock that the church was buit on.
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit unto the 11.
Apostolic succession continues from then to today. Thus, Sacred Tradition.
General Theology is always an intense fireI apologies guys I kind of feel like I threw fuel on the fire. It wasn’t my intention.

Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that if Mary was born sinless, unlike any other woman, and have the status she has been given as 'Mother of God' that she would have had more prophetic mention in the scripture other than "Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel."
What did Jesus say in reference to His mother when asked about her?
He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and carry it out.”
There was no special mention.
No mention of special status, they continued to wait outside the door!

Correct but there is also no indication of special regard. It doesn’t say that He did not go to greet them brother.
