Sometimes we all feel that way. The best remedy is to just...go. The desires of the world and other choices tempt us to draw away, but if we just do as we know to be right then we keep on the straight path.

I agree with Tampasteve that we all (or most of us, anyhow) feel that way sometimes, but I wouldn't recommend forcing yourself to go off to church anyway. If you miss one Sunday, like as not you will feel like you want to go the next time the opportunity rolls around. In any case, it is only if the feeling of not wanting to go starts to feel comfortable on a longterm basis that you should worry about it.

Well sometimes you need a little time to yourself. Just to be . Not to feel stressed and rushed even if you’re not aware of it. Maybe you should ask yourself if that’s an issue . Or maybe something you find annoying is happening at your church and you just didn’t feel up to dealing with it. Sometimes it’s just dealing with the you gottas . You gotta do this and you gotta do that Sometimes it helps put things in perspective to remember that saying that African Americans sometimes say when pushed too much . “Only thing I gotta do is stay black and die.” ;) . Maybe you’re just a little overwhelmed and you need a mental or physical rest

I pastor the church and there are days I don't want to go... lol, so don't be too hard on yourself, it happens to all of us. If it is because you are actually sick, then do what is wise for your health. One thing I've found to be true more often than not is when I don't feel like going, but go anyway (this includes before I was a pastor), I often find that those are the services that impact me the most. So, when I don't feel like going, I try to remind myself that it will most likely be worth it. Sometimes an attitude of persistence that overcomes the flesh is the pathway to breakthrough.

When you go to church what is the reason you do?

Not all brick and mortar congregations are led by Holy Spirit filled shepherds. The Church is the entire Body of Christ collectively across place and time. Your family of three is considered the church, though your father has stepped away for the moment, he may still be part of that Body. Anyway, I would not feel guilty about this as there is no command for brick and mortar attendance. Where two or three are gathered there He is.
Blessings

The Bible refers to the church as “the Bride of Christ,” giving real definition to the fact that the church is only the church if it is madly in love with the bridegroom. All of these is basically telling us that the church and its focus is one person – Jesus Christ.

We are the Church.

Everyone has times where they don't feel like doing what they should do.

The people who succeed in life, are the ones that do what is right, no matter how they feel.
