I had only 6 months to graduate. Fail one class and it's a 6 month set back! Cause they only offer it once a year. I have until tomorrow night to get in 6 late assignments. I have a 62% in the class and have to get a 70 to pass. I don't know the answers to the assignments I have a 3 page take home thats due at the same time. Finals to study for the next week and a lab practical. I'm about to get kicked out because I need to pay the school 400. I'm pregnant and sick. I take sleeping pills (antinausea) everyday and I can barely make rent haven't bought clothes and I only have like 2 pairs of pants I keep wearing over and over again.

I have my bachelor's but I can't get a good job so I went to this for profit college and it's my only option for this program. I'm gonna owe thousands if I leave and no certification if stay I'll owe more thousands. I feel like a failure. Science bachelor's degree and no real job 4 going on 5 year come 2020.

It's okay to focus on your baby for now since you are pregnant. I don't think that you are a failure. Look how far you've come: You are only 6 months away from graduating.

Have you talked to your school about the option of taking a break rather than quitting?

HI have you talked to a guidance counselor as you are pregnant and not feeling well you might get a break. They want the cash but might have a heart. By the way that baby is the most important thing now and God will provide for you. Its ok to work hard and not have have a lot most of America is living like that already as more than 40% of the people have less then $400 saved. The true measure of success is if you are walking with God or not. In Isaiah the LORD says that He will keep him in perfect peace whos mind is stayed on thee. So Pray up be humble and if you are not going to make it now you can move forward. You are not a failure you loved by the creator and He will help establish your path.

When I was younger I had something similar that happened to me. I tanked in a statistics class, and was unable to complete my masters in counseling psychology. And had the same problems in the job market that you speak of. This sort of thing has really affected me my whole life.

I pray you fare better than I did. Sometimes these dark times can be part of God's will. There was an article I read a few years ago that has helped me some in my struggles, and if worse comes to worse you might benefit from it too.

Sorry to hear all of this. It sounds like you are taking on too much and are trapped by this debt college issue going on in America where you complete a degree but there are no jobs and you have to do even more study, just to get one. The sugar on top of all that stress is a baby coming... and rent and all the other bills of life.

I do know however you can claim bankruptcy, but I'm not sure what the laws are... It's just you do have that up your sleeve if you end up further into debt and discontinue college... and start a fresh new life with your baby.

I have absolutely no idea what the solution is but to make choices in the future living a simple life without debts. Even if you had a job to pay off all those debts is a life of slavery and more stress because of the interest.

I think the story they sold to everyone is that you need a higher education with a false promise of a job dangling in front and when they get it then you are enslaved to paying off that job until your 90.

It's not the same as it once was. If the student loans were affordable and there were jobs from the degree, you wouldn't be in this position. So the story is a lie. You're not a failure. You're quite capable of having a baby, completing a degree and working.

It's the education system that's the failure.

That all sounds like a terrible burden to bear. I guess your options are (1) to just walk away and (2) to spend more money so that you can graduate. I guess the answer would depend on how much you've already spent, and how useful the qualification from this "for profit college" is, and how much study you're physically capable of right now.

Praying for you. :prayer:

The only thing I can add is that you should check with your school's policy on incompletes. Rather than take the D, either the instructor or the school may allow for an incomplete on some of your work so that you can have the time needed to do the work at a higher level.

I ended up changing my mind about quitting. I've been working really hard to try and pass. If I don't I'll have to pay and retake I suppose. I really need to get through the program. It's a field where I'll never really be without a job and it's in my.area of study.

Plus I owe my family.money and I've been working so hard to move up as far as social status and finances so I can help my family instead of just take. I get upset because I feel like school has really been more of a burden then help. So many members of my.family have passed away before I've had a chance to make something of myself and give back. It feels unfair.

Life is unfair for most people, don't let it stop you from achieving what you desire. Don't be hard on yourself for not living up to expectation of others, keep doing what you're doing, be focused and you'll achieve your desires.

I'm so sorry to hear of your struggles. May God provide in every way (finances, people to help you out, etc.) so you can have a less stressful pregnancy period.
