Does creationism have any social value?

Based on the mass school shootings, the numbers of violent crimes, the rise of hate groups like ISIS, and the breakdown of the family unit, can you show any benefit to denying the teaching of Christ's message? It seems to me that principles like respecting your parents and loving your neighbor should be taught at all levels; not hated because these principles are part of Christianity. The fact is Planned Parenthood kills more Americans in a week than Bin Laden did in his lifetime.

It doesn't. Certainly you don't know that liberal educators are purging libraries. Because that's false. Knowledge is justified true belief, not unjustified false belief.

Do some reading on librarian "neutrality" and you might come to the same conclusion. Buried deep within these articles are strong suggestions that what I say is true. So I'm 'guessing' that material deemed to be politically incorrect is finding it's way to the storerooms. Library shelf space is limited and room must be made for the latest politically correct material.

Of course it doesn't matter much as our information/education system is in such disarray ('organized confusion' really).

Those teaching aren’t exclusive to Christianity, buddy.

BTW, do you consider ‘take no thought for tomorrow’ a solid teaching?

Exactly, so there is no reason they should be branded as "establishing a religion."

Where have I said that? I say we need to be good stewards of our environment. If we live as if Christ could come at any time we will yet leave the world a better place when we are gone. Being a good steward of the environment does not mean willful pollution or littering. I fully support scrubbers on smokestacks and environmentally sound disposal methods.

Jesus said this.

I’m glad you see a need to be a good steward of the environment. Unfortunately, Christian’s tend to be swayed by pseudoscience and bad doctrine, so for now, you guys should let us set policy and lead the way.

What Jesus meant was don't worry about tomorrow. If we do the right things today tomorrow will take care of itself.

That’s not what the passage says. Jesus even says not to worry about where tomorrow’s food will come from.

Vine's Expository Dictionary: G3308; to be anxious about:—(be, have) care(-ful), take thought.

KJV Translation Count — Total: 19x
The KJV translates Strong's G3309 in the following manner: care (5x), care (5x), G3308; to be anxious about:—(be, have) care(-ful), take thought.

Jesus said this.
You have it out of context (no surprise).
Matthew 6:
31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Jesus is telling us not to worry about trivial matters, to focus instead on righteousness.

He's also saying that we have enough to think about today without worrying about tomorrow. When I get up each morning I plan for today, as I don't know what will happen tomorrow (maybe it will rain).

I’ve always considered food to be important, but that’s just me. If you consider being righteous more important than providing for your family, have at it.

And if you think there’s anything earth shattering about ‘don’t sweat the small stuff,’ then you’re easily impressed.

Read the scripture. We seek the Kingdom first (by righteous living) and everything we need will be provided. I have found that this works out very well in my life.

The food store is close by, several in fact, and I have money, so what's to worry about? (I also have plenty of food on hand.) So if I worried about it I might have a bigger problem....

Chapter titles are generally vague, until you start reading.

What's your favorite problem. Most of society's problems don't affect me directly, and that mitigates my attention to them. If there is a problem that is particularly distressing to you perhaps I can be of some help.

If I know it's true that's all that's important, to me. Attempting to prove what I believe to others is a fools errant. You should concede that I believe it to true and let it go at that.

I don't know how I could have been more clear.

Well now, in my experience you are just happy to make vague assertions and have no intention of backing anything you say up so no point in talking to you.
