This is where being gospel-centered comes into play. You need to remember that you have been forgiven much. Your sins against God are much greater than anything someone does to you. So with that in mind, it’s easier to deal with people.Hello all. I have a hard time dealing with people when they are mean and rude to me. I get upset whenever I feel that someone is upset with me. I just recently started a call center job, and I have gotten cussed at and talk to any kind of way, and I just tend to hang up when customers starts cussing. I am just losing my tolerance with people who act like that. Is this normal, I do I need to build up my tolerance? Its just this happens to me all the time, and I have had enough of it this year.
If you are a choleric or a melancholic, then some jobs are not suitable for you, like call centers.Hello all. I have a hard time dealing with people when they are mean and rude to me. Yeah I just need something to get through college. I hope this will be my last job here.Call center job is just asking for abuse. The best way to achieve some inner peace is to keep your expectations of others low. Very, very low.
I get what you are saying, I always forgive people, but I do expect to be treated with respect if I give respect. This is where being gospel-centered comes into play. I uave started to realize that others do not take consideration of others feelings. It just makes me upset because I have to deal with this issue in and out of work, and I sometimes let people run over me, and I have trouble standing up for myself, so this issue just connects to that one as well. I just wish everyone could be nice, because I feel I always have to put my feelings to the side to consider others, and I am just tired of doing that.I hear ya,' Sister! It would be great if we could expect that, but unfortunately we all live in a social world that's not prone to support the notion of complete consideration or care for other people's feelings.
I know exactly how you feel because back in the 90's, I worked in a call center for 5 long years. If there was at least one thing that that experience drove me to do, it was to begin learning 'how' to manage some of my emotions so other, antagonistic people wouldn't just drive me nuts (literally) AND to start educating myself about how to constructively deal (and negotiate) with different personality types.
I guess I will have to do that to keep my sanity lolCall center job is just asking for abuse. The best way to achieve some inner peace is to keep your expectations of others low. Very, very low.
Absolutely lolif you want to develop patience and tolerance a call center job is certainly going help you with that skill set.
I'm searching, I didn't beleive everyone when they told me about working in a call center, but this will be my last time doing this lolLife is too short for this. Find a different job before you are completely soured on humanity.
Thank youPray every day you get to work, pray before you start picking calls, ask God to give you patience for the job, He will. God bless
So does God. And you still sin.I get what you are saying, I always forgive people, but I do expect to be treated with respect if I give respect.
And I am saved, so I do appreciate being accused of being in sin. Please leave my postSo does God. And you still sin.
