Hi Guys,
I am not perfect, Sometimes, I fight with people, That's why I'm so quiet, It's not that I don't feel love in my heart. But, I am a person who has always felt a draw to conflict. This may make me unperfect, But who is perfect?

My current situation is, I'm arguing with a man, Who claims to be a prophet, He speaks about UFO's And aliens, at a paranormal forum, I can give links and let you guys see if you want. Those people there Are not Christian. However, I have come to care about that community. This prophet, This false prophet, He posts videos like this,

Now this man has proclaimed many prophecies about Ufo's coming and the rapture, I'm not debating whether the rapture will happen, He gave a prophetic date for the rapture and was incorrect. This man is false He's been doing this since 2006. He has made about fifteen prophecies that never came to pass since that time.

Now my thing is, Fighting is a problem I have, So I pick my battles well, I figure, A false prophet, That is someone a Christian probably should address. Make no mistaken, My primary function is love, I am not perfect mentally, Or physically, But I know love is not the wrong answer to any dilemma. My thing is, The Bible says, I'm not supposed to call Brothers and sisters ignorant, or liars. And Here is the thing, I've called this man, these things. I'm not trying to risk hellfire here. I just want to protect those people from Lies about God and his word.

What Should I do?

If he claims to have prophesied the date of the coming of our Lord, he's a heretic. We are advised to do two things: We are to rebuke false doctrine and we are to flee from false teachers. My advice would be to clearly but gently show him from Scriptures why he's wrong and that he's, in fact, sinning - misusing the name of God by his "prophecies", and then leave it at that. It's easy to get caught up in unfruitful disputes. Instead of fighting, pray.

Sounds like he is not a brother - even then I cant recall the bible saying we cant call a brother a liar... Peter did this very thing and the Holy Spirit was with him....

I don't think many believes this guy so you can probably not get so fired up with this guy.

I'm not getting any "strong feelings" concerning the future atm. Except for the tanker attacks, just gave me that ominous feeling I haven't felt for a long time.

First thing that came to mind is Kaiju, Godzilla, Cloverfield. lol. Funny, but that's how I felt and kinda scary.

I would take anything spoken about in a paranormal forum with a grain of salt. I also would visit it very infrequently if at all. Most things happening in that area are of a different realm than ours. So why be involved in that ? It's not of God. Stay true to the bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ, the message there basically being to distance ourselves from such matters and false prophets. He's getting messages from demons or just making it all up, so get away from him.

There are many gifts God gives his children, The Godzilla or Cloverfield thing, Could be me,
I may actually need some help from here, from people that know God's word better than me, to debate this guy.

If it comes to that, I will be asking for people from here to come to the forums and debate him. I know that I'm not the man for the Job, But, In my heart I know he's wrong and the Debate will possibly occur, I don't want to do this wrong, But I do feel a need to put a stop to someone who is making God look Bad through False prophecies. So, I may need help debating this guy, If that time comes, I will make a post about it and give a link to the forums, I wouldn't expect anyone to stay at those forums, They are secular. But, I still yet may need help temporarily.

The thing about just ignoring him is. He's misleading people, And these people know nothing of God, I feel he may do more to push them away from God if something isn't done.

So I may be making a future post about this soon.

But I do feel a need to put a stop to someone who is making God look Bad through False prophecies.

I think God can look after Himself...

Why not concentrate on Pressing into Jesus, getting really familiar with scripture, who knows, when you are strong He may use you effectively without needing to draw others into matters.

Okay, I mean, I'm not unstudied, I just didn't want to make mistakes, However, I am capable of handling this alone through prayer.

I suppose it was unfair for me to ask others to put their necks on the line to debate this guy,
I am actually an excellent debater. I think I've got this, I was mostly curious if the approach I had to this was the correct Christian move, But you are right, Sometimes, People must fight their own battles.

I will keep you guys updated if this progresses further.

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. - Romans 16:17-18

Have you ever studied the traits of a person with the gift of exhortation and prophecy?

If we do not understand the traits found in the spiritual gifting God has granted us we make it more difficult for God to guide those characteristics and traits to His Glory.

A person with the two previously mentioned gifts, is a confronter, what angers God angers he or she, they hate injustice, they really hate when God's Word is misrepresented or distorted, which a false prophet does.

Do not be fooled by this idea of "christian love" that is going around and which has eroded our society by compromising God's Word; real love, godly love, tells the Truth, present God's Truth over their own comfort or the comfort of others, and lifts up Jesus instead of pacifying man. Real love confronts error, sin, and certainly a false prophet. If you did not truly love as God loves you would not even care about these things or these people.

Sheep know Jesus' voice. And they will not follow another.

So, we need to help and feed each other so we grow in Jesus and how He has us loving any and all people. If this is our motive, than others with their motives will not be able to take us and our attention elsewhere.

So, it is wise not to try to misguide people's attention away from Jesus. Jesus will keep you out of bitterness while you obey Him > "and you will find rest for your souls." (in Matthew 11:28-30)

There are always more counterfeits; we don't have time to study every detail of every counterfeit and debate with every detail. What can be simple is we learn to live according to God's motives . . . so ones with other motives can not attract us. We can see, right away, how they are not feeding us with what obviously helps us get more real with God and learn how to love any and all people as ourselves. They do not obviously help us learn and live more and more of God's word. They do not help us to learn to submit to God at all times in His peace so He is leading our attention and guiding our decisions.

Their attention is calling elsewhere; we need to not allow wicked and evil people to have power to control our attention away from submitting to how our Father rules us in His own peace . . . with one another > Colossians 3:15.

If you are a farmer, you care for your animals and crops and maintaining the property and machines, and you share with your family . . . hopefully. What kind of farmer leaves all that, to go and pick apart some dead carcass of a skunk out in the woods, and argue with a dead skunk?????

This is how a cult can start > often it is a man who makes a big project of pointing at some one enemy, and saying how he will defend us from that enemy.

Or, someone will promise us a lot of money. But if I am not greedy, that person can't fool me, because no amount of charming and smart talk and guarantees will make any difference, since I'm not interested, in the first place. Our Apostle Paul is clear how the desire to be rich is what gets people into trouble >

"But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition." (1 Timothy 6:9)

So, it is not being rich which is the problem, I can see from this. But simply if we desire it, already we are in deep trouble.

And if someone promises me love and security and all I desire to have my dreams come true, I can see how he or she is not talking about loving any and all people the way Jesus wants > "if you love those who love you, what reward have you?" (in Matthew 5:46) So, if our motive is to love any and all people the way Jesus our Groom desires for us to do > we can not be tricked into focusing all or most of our trust to some one person being our hope for all we want!!!!

But, then, not only are their group cults of people falling for some wrong leader. But, also, there are people who fall for some person in marriage and then their marriage is a sort of a cult of depending on only one person for so much. But if our motive is to commit all to the LORD and His creative way of loving and caring for us . . . humans can't fool us into depending on them.

Or somebody sends e-mails about how awful certain groups of people are, and we need to fight them. Well, God's word says, "first of all" > what? > 1 Timothy 2:1-4. So, God will not have us wasting our attention about how some stranger guarantees that some enemy could annihilate us, but with God we can pray with hope for any evil person, at all . . . plus enjoy our Father's table prepared before us, "in the presence of my enemies," we have in Psalm 23:5.

So, our motive with Jesus is to love and care for and have hope for any and all people. But there are ones whose motive is to get our attention elsewhere, so they can use us and control us. They often show their "you can use me act" > talking smart and acting nice so we will suppose they are smart enough to understand what we want and will be nice about doing it. But if our motive is to do what God wants . . . we can be very hard to fool. And if we know who is committed, already, to taking care of us > bye-by > God can do it better than you can!! :)

He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; and he who is holy, let him be holy still." -Rev 22:11

We want to help everyone, we want to save everyone. That is normal and right, and in accordance with our calling. But there is a time to let people follow their determined choices. You know you're approaching that point when you have to lower yourself to their level to try to deal with them.

Have you ever studied the traits of a person with the gift of exhortation and prophecy?
Hmm . . . this is very good, I think. Our Apostle Paul says what a prophet does >

"But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men." (1 Corinthians 14:3)

To me, edification means building up in love.

Exhortation means filling up what is built up.

And comfort means holding up what is built and filled up.

So, in case a person only talks about the future or only or mainly gives us messages about our own personal lives, this could be meant to get attention and status so then the person can more and more control us.

And there could be the political motive of making some group the poor innocent victims of some enemy . . . so we will all be voting for whoever is guaranteeing safety from that enemy.

But the main focus of Christian ministry, according to what I read Paul saying, is Colossians 1:28-29, with Romans 8:29. This has us becoming like Jesus so we are pleasing to our Father like Jesus is so pleasing. And we become loving like our Example Jesus > Ephesians 5:2. And so this is what has our attention to ministering with one another. We are busy first with loving any and all people > not merely singling out certain enemies to pick on them, but we care about all of Satan's people > the prey animals but also the predators.

Satan's kingdom is like an animal kingdom. The prey animals, too, can be very cruel and deadly . . . when they feel or hope they can get away with it. I have seen a mother duckie dunking the baby of another mommy duckie. Also, prey can help support a predator, by hiding in cover which the predator can use for camouflage to blend in and get close to the prey . . . like how predators and con artists in church culture can put on the same show which the copy-cat members put on. Because they put on the show which copy-catters are looking for, these predators can be accepted and even trusted by the copy-cat people who do not make sure with God about who to trust and how. Members can miss the predators, since they are so busy with looking for the acting which they dictate they have to see > and we see how this makes it possible for predators to make it even into pulpits. Because people are trying to control the show.

This is another thing > the counterfeiter no way will minister for you to become able to make sure with God about who you trust and how. Ones will even claim that God does not personally take care of and guide His own children, but false people insist you have to take care of things, yourself.

But Jesus Christ's sheep, not only His leaders, will not follow another > they can > we can tell the difference between a minister of God's own love, versus a predator or immature person who does not effect us with grace. Grace in us changes us to be like Jesus and succeed in doing what God has us doing with Him in His peace; and every child of God can minister this grace > Ephesians 4:29, 1 Peter 4:9-10. But the false can mainly call attention to their own selves, whether they are trying to run a church or cult, or ones are just trying to marry someone so they can use someone for what they want. Where is someone mainly guiding your attention, then?

So, a prophet of Christ will minister us more and more into grace. In case there is any information about coming events or our private lives, this will be on the way to seeking God and all He wants to share with us, correction which will help with this, and not merely trying to control other people and what they know and do. But God is in control; we seek how You will lead us in coordination with how You manage all things and people according to Your all-loving purpose.

There's still people worse than him, a lot worse when it comes to spreading false teachings.

I don't usually debate due to my limited time. If I do, I often make very brief replies. People seem to get annoyed by that. But not my intention. If I have a lot more time, I can certainly make for more elaborate replies.

What is the result you're looking for in this debate? To change this person's mind? Or... could it be that you just want to be right?

Usually, when people enjoy engaging in heated arguments, it's out of pride. They want to win. They want to be right so they can feel better about themselves. Could this possibly be you? And the person you're debating?

Regardless, some people have quoted excellent scripture to show that this is a waste of time, energy and emotion. Jesus did not debate anyone. He spoke truth and moved on. I think His example is the best one, as He told us very clearly not to cast our pearls before swine. In the end, you will not change his mind, and you end up with frustration when you could be using your time for much better things.
