Well, regardless of whether it was accidental or not, let's keep the joking more light-hearted.

I have typing issues and always have to double check my posts for spelling. I have a tendency to flip words around - like 'taht' rather than 'that'. Then sometimes I make the 'there vs. their error' and need to correct. It's human.

It seems like Trump has more autocorrect problems than the average person on Twitter does. I don't think he can honestly blame autocorrect for his many spelling blunders because he has made far too many spelling errors to be able to genuinely lay the blame on autocorrect or on something else.
He's about on my own level (though for me it's just typos often) but I'm never afraid to edit! lol

Is everyone sure it was an error? After all the motto of The Prince of Wales is Ich Dien. Which I expect would be anathema to Trump. Now getting it as Ich Dine is an autocorrect issue. Wales should be in just about any dictionary used to autocorrect.

I can relate...and my spelling seems to gets worse with age.

In my case the Samsung keyboard on my phone autocorrects it to Wales because it also takes into account the "Prince of" that precedes it.

So the software you use is good enough to correct the mistake Trump made. Looks like his software is as good as the rest of his administration.

You misspelled two words in your reply
Correct. The same two words that Trump misspelled in his handwritten notes (so they couldn't have been "autocorrect errors"). That was the point, but I guess you didn't read the article linked in my earlier post.

Another Trump bashing thread. Not intellectually significant.

This is not another Trump Bashing Thread. This is a legitimate concern, criticism and frustration.

We all make mistake, we all write things which is not grammatically correct and has error. I am sure if you read this post of mine or my other post in this forum you will find grammatical error, spelling error. But my post in this forum or any other writing are not read by billions of people on earth, nor my writings are read by all of the Heads of States around the world. I am a simple guy with average education.

We are talking about POTUS who’s every word , every tweet read by billions of people on earth, who represent the USA. Is this too much to expect that when POTUS write some thing that needs to be written without grammatical error?

If you write an article in your High School publication your teacher will tell you “ be sure to check grammars, spelling , what you write in this publication will be read by thousands, and you will represent our school to entire city or state”.

How can you make America Great again if you can’t follow a simple High School year book’s standard. What kind of message does it send to rest of the world about US Education system when POTUS can’t spell a simple title correctly. I know we keep lowering the bar for POTUS but that doesn’t mean we should lower the bar to a point where we elect a POTUS who can’t write 3 sentences without grammatical error.

I am sure there are also countless American regions that British leaders often misspell.
How are you so sure when you don't have even a single example?

Being a Brit, I understand the shameful level of ignorance of the powers that be in this country.

I'm sure his spelling truly is that bad, as documented by the literal hundreds of tweets where he misspells words commonly found on spelling tests for elementary school kids. Not only that, but he's habitually lazy with punctuation and weirdly capitalizes words incorrectly. Now, you've also failed to use punctuation in your post right here, but seeing as how you're just playing around on a forum and you're not the leader of a country, that's a whatever. Donald's habitual carelessness, on the other hand, is not innocent nor is not excusable.
