Some certainly. The conspiracy theorists went wild with President Obama and if truth were gunpowder there wasn't enough to blow your nose.
I'll bet gun manufacturers cant wait for another democrat in office.

Or at least control them.
Ah yes, I remember when President Obama was talking about regulating ammunition as a way to circumnavigate the constitution. You have a right to own a firearm, but there is no constitutional right to buying ammunition. I remember the price of 9mm and .45 sky-rocketing and sold out everywhere.

As PT Barnum said, no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the general public.

I meant guns, period, not a few models.
I believe there are a lot of grass roots progressive movements to ban guns and perhaps there are a few in congress who have campaigned on the idea of implementing a gun ban (especially after a school shooting). But I don't think there was ever a serious push in congress to have a blanket gun ban or repealing the 2nd amendment.

Hopefully, someone learned something from Prohibition about making laws that the majority of Americans didn't support.

Well apparently they learned that if you cannot scare people into buying your product based on the fantasy that someone is making laws you don't support you go out of business.

This company joins Remington on the scrap heap of history. How to stop the influx of imported guns???

Lets try tariffs.

Could it be because everyone is feeling so much safer during the Trump administration, and just not seeing the need to buy guns?

Judging by their rhetoric regarding the border wall, I’m gonna vote no on TrumpFans feeling safe.

I'd say you're right about that; maybe it's all the Trump bashers that's feeling safer.

WHen I watch Fox News, I'm amazed at how erroneously they portray supposed liberal views and liberal arguments.

Between the never ending "War on Christmas" and "Obama is trying to take your guns" many who live in Red States are completely and totally convinced that the evil liberals are trying to not only destroy the country but trying to turn you into a gay Muslim as well...

The sheer insanity of how the Alt Right and Extreme Right represent "liberal" positions is something so hilarious that I'd die laughing if it weren't for the fact that many mainstream Republicans actually believe that is what liberals believe.

If you were to take a survey of the "average" Republican I bet you they would think that Democrats and Liberals are actively trying to repeal the 2nd Amendment and that "any" gun control is a plot by those hippie dippie liberals to get rid of all guns...

They will believe almost anything if it is liberals that are being accused. It is as if they lived in a fantasy world with very little connection to reality. Quite puzzling and very frustrating.

Seems like when gun owners don't get frightened, the firearms industry suffers.

How many other businesses out there list "panic" as essential for their business model?

Double or nothing that at the same time, they'll lobby and donate to Donald's reelection.

Firearms distributor United Sporting Cos. loaded up on guns ahead of the 2016 U.S. presidential election, expecting a surge in sales would follow the election of a Democrat. Then Hillary Clinton lost.

The miscalculation sparked a multi-year decline that has reached the courthouse steps in Delaware, where United filed Chapter 11
bankruptcy on Monday.

Yes, the great leader has brought such a unity to US and world at large so that must be the reason.

When was the last time a Democratic administration tried to ban guns?

Neither Republican nor Democrat administrations pass legislation. So, banning guns is out of their hands. The Democrats in Congress have tried and even succeeded in having guns banned. One of those bans, on the improperly named assault rifle, was rescinded by a Republican controlled Congress. I can't understand how anyone could think anyone would believe that Democrats do not want to ban guns. One might make a case for Democrats not advocating for the banning of all guns but certainly there are a number of guns the Democrats have made a point of saying that they want to ban and there are surely individual Democrats that have expressed the opinion that guns of any kind should not be allowed in the hands of private citizens.

Peace in our time! We are so at peace and secure that we no longer require arms for protection either for self defense or against a tyrannical government.
