If you do not purge the old, how can the new take hold?

Hmmm ... sounds to me like someone is bias.

Ain't seen my thread ... yet it's "bunk."

Interesting.

How do you know I've not already seen your thread? And also, you do have other challenge threads on this forum that I've seen. And I stand by my opinion on them.

Aren't the ones on the internet valid sources?

Which sources are you reading that say "critters suddenly appeared in the fossil record with no evidence of evolution"?
Because if any of the ones you read say that (or thereabouts), they aren't actual scientific sources.

That's a subtle trick of the Devil.

As soon as someone disagrees with your statement, then you can come back with: "But isn't your father a link in the chain between you and your grandfather?"

In other words, you can recuse to microevolution the minute someone says macroevolution can take a hike.

That bologna example academians use about taking baby steps from Point A to Point B across the country is ... well ... bologna.

Neither would a deist god, would he?

What's his name, by the way?

Jehovah?

If so, how do you know ... since he didn't stick around long enough to inspire anyone to write his biography?

Many articles say this, maybe not in the same words.

No, I just don't care about what you think about evolution.

"No," what?

"No" a deist god wouldn't care?

Or "no," his name isn't Jehovah?

In either case, I totally agree.

This is the OP:

"If you do not purge the old, how can the new take hold? If you do not make allowances for the new, where can the new find root??"

Just focus on part of it: "if you do not purge the old, how..." how? In other words, where is the evidence that you are preparing for a transition? Where is the momentum, that will carry the change through?

I think if you ignore this, you are in danger of becoming "a jack of all trades, and a master of none"?

Do you see that the old has to be purged? That you are claiming there is a process, which begins with one thing, and ends with another?

You might say "better to be a jack of all trades and evolve, than harp on about how exclusive evolution has to be to work", but you are borrowing against the response to evolution in order to prove it.

There is a process, yes, but there is no end to evolution. It just keeps going. Evolution has no goal or end. As long as there is life, evolution will carry on working.

Just bear with me for a second.

Say something evolves. Then it has a child. Then that child dies, but resurrects twice. Then one of those two resurrections, dies.

In your opinion, the original Evolution is no different, from the remaining resurrection? It just detoured into resurrection, for no reason?

But then say the original Evolution died, then the remaining resurrection is the most evolved after all?

You see how this sort of just jumps all over the place, as to what has the most potential?

Say the remaining resurrection, resurrects into a species - is the species going to evolve because it started with an Evolution, even though the Evolution is gone? And the resurrection remains? Or does it have less reason to evolve, because the species as a whole has less reason to evolve, relative to the Evolution?

You see its sort of pointless comparing things that have or have not evolved?

What if something resurrected with greater and greater potential, would you believe it? At what point? How many times would something have to resurrect the more evolved, for you to see faith in the One behind that "Evolution"?

To rephrase Bertrand Russell:

"An ignorant man's report of what an knowledgeable man says can never be accurate, because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand”

An individual doesn't evolve, a population evolves. But if the child resurrects, then we have a whole new topic in biology to explore! Especially with two resurrections, that's a neat trick.

:hoho:
