Hi Marilyn

I think this is what you're looking for. Thought I speed up the process for you. :)

Hi Seville,

I think you have forgotten that the revelation of the Body of Christ was NOT revealed before the Lord gave it to the Apostle Paul. Thus all your scriptures are irrelevant.

Hi JLB,

You need to look a bit more closely than accepting a translators bias.

Jude is talking about angelic beings and the rebellious. He says that Enoch prophesied concerning these.

`Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of `hagios,`(Holy ones), to execute judgment on all,…` Jude 14 & 15)

Then in Deuteronomy we read that Moses talks of the same event –

`The Lord came from Sinai, and dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of `quodos,`(Holy ones),…` (Deut. 33: 2)

Then in the Psalms we read that David is also talking of the same event –

`The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of thousands; the Lord is among them as in Sinai, and the Holy Place…`(Ps. 68: 17)

So we see that these Holy ones are the Lord`s angelic army.

Marilyn.

Sorry, the saints of God return with Christ to reign with Him.

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. Matthew 25:31-31

When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

Jesus comes from heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of God, with his angels and His saints, to sit on His throne as King over all the earth.

Then you shall flee through My mountain valley,
For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal.
Yes, you shall flee
As you fled from the earthquake
In the days of Uzziah king of Judah.
Thus the Lord my God will come,
And all the saints with You.

It shall come to pass in that day
That there will be no light;
The lights will diminish.
It shall be one day
Which is known to the Lord—
Neither day nor night.
But at evening time it shall happen
That it will be light.
And in that day it shall be
That living waters shall flow from Jerusalem,
Half of them toward the eastern sea
And half of them toward the western sea;
In both summer and winter it shall occur.
And the Lord shall be King over all the earth.
In that day it shall be—
“The Lord is one,”
And His name one.

Hi JLB,

Notice you have ADDED the saints. The Lord ONLY said the ANGELS.

As to the Lord being king over all the earth, He is actually king over all of God`s great kingdom, in every realm. His seat of power and authority is in the highest realm and from there He rules, has his other thrones, which all come under His rulership from the highest.

The word `throne,` means seat, & implied authority. The Lord has ALL authority and NOT just on earth.

Why would you say added the word saints?

The Lord comes at the end of the age with His saints and His angels to execute Judgement upon the wicked.

He comes with His saints from heaven, to gather them together with the saints on earth, on the last day at the resurrection and rapture.

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Hi JLB,

Those words you say mean `saints,` actually mean `holy ones.` Thus you need other scriptures to reveal if they are angels or saints. And as the Lord only said His angels come at Armageddon, then that is who will come - His angelic army.

The other references saying saints coming with the Lord is quietly and for the connecting to the Body of Christ.

Two different comings there. Marilyn.

Wow! Can we read these passages?:

Matthew 28:18:
18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Should there be any question here? Jesus said to the disciples He has ALL authority "in heaven on earth. How do you have that and not reign?

Ephesians 1:18-23
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might
20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church,
23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

How does one read that and come away thinking Christ isn't ruling and reigning RIGHT NOW??? It boggles the mind!

The 1000 year reign began at the resurrection of Christ...it will continue until Jesus returns to judge this world in righteousness...then Jesus will return the rule to God the Father as state in 1 Corinthians 15:20-28:

20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.
21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming,
24 then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power.
25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.
26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death.
27 For He has put all things in subjection under His feet. But when He says, “All things are put in subjection,” it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him.
28 When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.

The reigning of Christ is figurative of a long period of time based on how God uses 1000 or perfect thousands to represent an unknown or innumerable amount of time in passages like these:

Deuteronomy 7:9:
9 Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

It *should* be easily seen here that "thousand generation" means ALL generations

How about where God says this in Psalms 50:10:
10 “For every beast of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills.

Isn't it easy to understand here that "1000 hills" means ALL hills?

This is symbolic use of "a thousand" as meaning all or an innumerable amount of time. When the scripture says Christ will reign for a thousand years...it is representative of the entire time Christ has been reigning since His resurrection until he returns, judges the world, and returns that authority to God.

Some people think Christ isn't reigning because evil is still present with us and Satan is still active...but in the OT we see all kinds of evil things happening back in history...and yet we would never say God isn't reigning. It's the same way since Christ received all authority in heaven and on earth from God when He was raised.

Christ has it all under control! This world and it's evil is running it's course until Christ has received all that the Father has given to Him...and then comes judgement. It's all under control of Christ...HE REIGNS RIGHT NOW!!!

No doubt the debate on this will continue though. Guess we all have to remain faithful and wait and see! The good thing about it, is if you're in Christ...you will see!

He ebedmelech,

Yes, all authority has been given to the Lord, however He is not operating in it at the moment, but building the Body of Christ. Remember the Father said to the Son,

`Sit at my right hand TILL I make your enemies your footstool," (Ps. 110: 1)

And that time is soon when the Father will say to His Son -

`..Rule in the midst of your enemies.`(Ps. 110: 2)

So then, if Jesus isn't operating in "that realm" how do people become saved???

Isn't Jesus using His power and authority when He frees Peter from jail.

How about when He knocks Paul off His horse and calls him to serve Him?

How about freeing Paul and Silas from jail?

You're just not embracing the fact that our Lord is sovereign over all things right now.

What God is saying to Jesus in Psalm 110 is this:
"Sit at my right hand run things until it's all over."

Do a word study on that Psalm and you see you have it wrong because it's explained in Hebrews 1.

Though most of the Old Testament references were given before the destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar, it is my opinion that they are intended to foreshadow that by Titus. Noting that both occurred on the same calendar day supports this conclusion. Others disagree; so be it.

Hi parousia,

Good question. `The Lord, (God the Father) said to my Lord, (Jesus) "Sit at my right hand TILL I MAKE your enemies your footstool`" (Ps. 110: 1)

The Father is presently bringing the Lord`s enemies to His footstool for judgment. The Lord Jesus, meanwhile is building and maturing His Body, across the world and has done down through the centuries.

10%? 50%? 99%?

Hi parousia,

The Father and the Son are one, meaning - equal, of one mind and will.

Now at this time the Son is building and maturing His Body over the centuries and across the world. The Father is bringing the Lord`s enemies to His footstool for His Son to bring judgment upon them. (Eph. 4: 9 - 16)

God the Father is 100% successful. We know that there have been 4 world Rulers in the past, (Babylon, Medes & Persians, Greece & Rome) and God`s word says there is one final Gentile World Ruler before His Son sets up His rulership, (kingdom) through Israel. (Dan. 2: 36 - 45)

We can see this final Gentile Global Government forming in our day. The Father has sent forth the 4 spirits of heaven to bring the 4 Federations together to be judged. In Zechariah we see them, (Zech. 6: 5) and in Daniel we are told of their beginnings, (Dan. 7: 1 - 7) Then in Revelation 6: 1 - 6 we see the first 3 Federations just before the Lord brings judgment upon them and the final Federation will arise in the tribulation.

Finally, the first 3 Federations will be brought together under the last Federation and thus we have the final Gentile Global Government ready for judgment by the Lord. (Rev. 13: 1 & 2)

They have been brought to the Lord`s feet by the Father and He will rule in the midst of His enemies, bringing judgments upon them.

`The Lord (Father) said to my Lord, (Son), "Sit at my right hand TILL I make your enemies your footstool." The Lord shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion, Rule in the midst of your enemies!` (Ps. 110: 1 & 2)

Hi JLB,

We see in Revelation 19 that the Lord comes with His army. He is the Captain of that army and we read of it throughout scripture. Joshua bowed before Him, the Captain of the Lord`s army. (Joshua 5: 14 & 15)

It is an angelic army as angels are shown to wear `linen pure and white,`(Rev. 15: 6 & 19: 14) distinguishing them from the evil angels.

Then when the Lord `sits on His glorious throne,` ie, with His power and authority of the Father, just after Armageddon, we read that His holy angels are with Him. (Matt. 25: 31)

This is clearly wrong though Marylin C. In the passage you supply...it is Jesus doing everything by His power.

Jesus gave the apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers to accomplish His will. This is how He is building His body, which is the church. The church will continue to be built by Christ who is at the right hand of the Father.

Furthermore, you simply want to ignore Ephesians 1:18-22 which clearly say God gave the reign to Christ. That's why He's at the right hand of the Father.

It was Jesus who empowered the apostles and sent them on their mission to accomplish His will. Once more I encourage you to study Psalm 110 and understand what's really happening.

Hi ebedmelech,

I agree. That is what I was saying regarding the Body of Christ.
However it is the Father who is bringing the Lord`s enemies to His footstool.
