What's important here is to recognize that what was required for eternal life before the new covenant was different than what was required after the new covenant began. Naturally there are differences and similarities.

You claim, "Belief in Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection cannot be suffice to save anyone." and that is a false claim.

Rom_10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
It is ridiculous to say that under the new covenant the Ten Commandments are no longer applicable:-

Do not murder
Do not lie
Do not steal
Do not commit adultery
Do not give false testimony
etc

Just as it is ridiculous to say that the requirement to love God is no longer valid under the new covenant: Luke 10:27-28.

Belief in Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection cannot be suffice to save anyone: 1 Corinthians 15:2-4.

1 Corinthians 15:2-4
2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

However, the above Scripture cannot be suffice to save anyone.

In other words, belief in “Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection” is simply not good enough to save anyone.

Because Jesus himself has stipulated OTHER requirements, which are ADDITIONAL to the above Scripture:-

Luke 10:25 And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do TO INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE?”

Luke 10:26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?”

Luke 10:27 So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

Luke 10:28 And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; DO THIS AND YOU WILL LIVE.”

Matthew 19:16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do TO GET ETERNAL LIFE?”

Matthew 19:17 If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.

Matthew 19:18 “Which ones?” he inquired.

Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony,

Matthew 19:19 honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Therefore, Matthew 19 and Luke 10 provides conclusive evidence that one’s mere belief in “Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection” cannot be suffice to save anyone.

Because Jesus himself had clearly stated that there are also OTHER requirements which are ADDITIONAL to one’s belief in his death, burial and resurrection.

Those OTHER requirements are clearly stated in Matthew 19 and Luke 10.

Consequently, 1 Corinthians 15 cannot be the “all-inclusive formula of Salvation” as Paul might have suggested.

Because Matthew 19 and Luke 10 is proof that there are also OTHER requirements, which are ADDITIONAL to Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection.

Discuss.

Whenever I see or hear this type of rhetoric, I am reminded of this drawing I came across.

Also this verse... 1 Corinthians 2:2

Also... this verse... 2 Corinthians 11:3

PERFECT obedience to God always has been and always will be what is necessary to be judged righteous. In the varying administrations/dispensations the specifics required of specific men changed. But nEver did a mere man meet this standard. Always, believers were required to trust in what God had revealied about HIS merciful/gracious provision of redemption via a promised redeemer (Gen 3:15, and following). It has ALWAYS been the perfect obedience of the perfect redeemer being credited to the accounts of those trusting in Him that provided for the right standing of the believing before God, the father of the promised savior.

So, Jesus answered the lawyer and rich young ruler correctly. Were they to obey the cited commands perfectly - jusification. The Bible makes it clear that they are incapable of perfect obedience.

It is also true that those truly trusting in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus are justified - credited with the perfect obedience of Jesus to the commands of his father.
