Is this like where we can talk about random things?

Hmm. What about taco salad? Is that a taco? Is it a salad?

We have Taco Tuesday's at work, and when the guy in front of you in the line scoops up 6 pounds of beef and a gallon of cheese, them adds a few tortilla chips and sprinkles some lettuce on top, does that count as a salad?

Or the girl who gets a soft shell, adds chicken, vegetables, and ranch dressing. Is that a taco or a gyro?

The 6 tons of beef counts as some kind of multilayer dip or maybe nachoes

The girl with the chicken taco no that's a chicken taco. A gyro is made with lamb.

No, no, no. You can't be a taco liberal (fish et. al.) and a gyro conservative. That's a cognitive dissonance.

From Wikipedia (the world's foremost source on all knowledge):
[A gyro] is derived from the lamb-based doner kebab. In Greece it is now most often pork, or chicken, while a mixture of beef and lamb is common in the U.S. and other countries. It is usually served wrapped or stuffed in a flatbread such as pita, with tomato, onion, tzatziki sauce, and sometimes french fries.

We have a large Lebanese community where I live, and with it several Mediterranean restaurants. I can confirm they most definitely put chicken in their gyros. Lamb is actually rare.

I'm not a Gyro conservative. I just don't order them nearly as much as tacos. Maybe i need to open my mind up a little. I mean...there is a great place with Mediterranean food that's affordable here.

Just havin' fun. I'm a taco/gyro libertarian, which means that while I know you're wrong, I'm too lazy to campaign for laws to shut down restaurants that serve fish tacos.

I believe restaurants should only be shut down if they are violating rules that can harm peoples' health, like storing food too warmly or having bugs.
I think culinary creativity or possibly genius should be encouraged and supported, even if it needs to find it's niche in the community.
