For discussion.

Is Jesus stating that doing good is necessary for resurrection to life (imperative); or is He saying that those who are resurrected to life did good (indicative)?

Indicative. Those where were resurrected are declared righteous by their faith...not works. However, Galatians 5 very clearly states that those who continue to walk in the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Perhaps walking in the flesh needs a clear definition... as Paul explains who the Anathema are in Galatians 1-3

If you’re asking me, I would say it points people to our Loving, Merciful, Worthy and Wonderful Savior... that other hungry beggars, might be shown the Masters Table... and dine there with us!

He Loves to share ALL He has with us and is always excited for one more at the table.

His wealth has no limits and His storerooms are forever being emptied out, yet eternally staying full.

When we boast about someone else, the words “I, me, mine, my” doen’t appear in the sentence.

Have you said anything about how great Jesus is? I read how he did great things for you, which is about you, not him.

I’m confused.

Jesus says, “judge a tree by its fruit.” He also called some “snakes” which is very clearly judging. One needs to read all of his teaching to not be confused. To be as wise as serpentsbut as innocent as doves requires judging or discernment if you prefer that word.
