It was God who changed the words as Joseph Smith was instructed of God.

Is there any manuscript support for this change or is every early greek manuscript we possess in error on this verse?

Do you believe that the Bible is inerrant?

Original manuscripts.

All Scripture is GOD-BREATHED. (2 Tim. 3:16)

Do you believe God has halitosis?

I did not say translations are inerrant. I said the ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPTS: the author's actual writing (as opposed to subsequent copies or translations).
We don't have the original manuscript of the Bible. All we have are copies and there are differences. That is why God commanded Joseph Smith to translate the Bible and he did it.

Joseph Smith Translation (JST)
Although not the official Bible of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the JST offers many interesting insights and is an invaluable aid to biblical interpretation and understanding. It is a most fruitful source of useful information for the student of the scriptures. It is likewise a witness for the divine calling and ministry of the Prophet Joseph Smith.

Jesus gave us rules to follow, do you not believe that?
How many times are we going to go over this????

Jesus paid for my salvation which results in a changed heart. Bible Fact: Those who love Jesus are being conformed to the image of Christ. Those who are not being conformed don't have changed hearts.

God commanded Joseph Smith the translate the New Testament:

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 45:60)

60 And now, behold, I say unto you, it shall not be given unto you to know any further concerning this chapter, until the New Testament be translated, and in it all these things shall be made known;

Notice the difference here:

KJV (New Testament | Matthew 6:13)

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

JST (New Testament:Matthew 6:13)

And suffer us not to be led into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Which is more correct? Does God really lead people into temptation?

That is a quote from the Mormon Dictionary. The JST is not based upon ANY manuscript known to exist. And in Roman 8:30 it inserts sanctification for justification (even though every manuscript we have has the word for justification). Why? My guess is that it is an attempt to bend it to LDS works based salvation.

The JST is NOT a translation. In Romans 8:30 Smith inserts what he wants to find there despite NO MANUSCRIPT EVIDENCE.

Can you translate Greek to English?

The internet can:
Romans 8:30 Greek Text Analysis

From this we can learn that this is the only verse in the Bible with the word ἐδικαίωσεν in it. Strongs defines it as " to show to be righteous, declare righteous"

"Theologians sometimes refer to this state of holiness before God as “positional” sanctification; it is the same as justification."

From What is sanctification? What is the definition of Christian sanctification?

The JST was given to Joseph Smith by the power of God. In post #91 I said:

Notice the difference here:

KJV (New Testament | Matthew 6:13)

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

JST (New Testament:Matthew 6:13)

And suffer us not to be led into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Which is more correct? Does God really lead people into temptation?

The pope now agrees with the JST:

"Instead of saying “lead us not into temptation,” the Pope is changing the wording to “do not let us fall into temptation.” He says the original wording makes it sound like God is leading Catholics to sin, but he says the devil is to blame."
