Hello Ian,

As a Christian who left the faith for several years, I have to say that reading the Bible is the number one way to really build your faith. If you need a starting point, the book of John and the Epistles of Romans and Galatians are excellent. This is not to discount any books in the Old Testament, as all 66 books must be taken together to understand the entire picture. In addition to the Bible, there are two resources that have really helped me in going deeper. “How to Choose a Translation for All Its Worth” by Gordon D. Fee and Mark L. Strauss and “How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth” by Gordon D. Fee and Douglas Stuart. Both are just amazing and have really helped me in my walk with Christ.
