Is Jesus already among us, or will He come from the heavens?
When he comes, it says, "Every eye will see him." I haven't seen him... and since you are asking, I assume you haven't either? :)

Is Jesus already among us, or will He come from the heavens?

1st Thessalonians 4

The Coming of the Lord (the physical)

13But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. 15For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18Therefore encourage one another with these words.

He is not with us physically ... but is with us Spiritually.

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you."

Zephaniah 3:17 "The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing."

Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Hebrews 13:5 "Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'"

Romans 8:38-39 "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Clearly Jesus hadn't yet came, and clearly evil is on the rise. Humans are currently on the way to "free" themselves from any moral responsibility. And they are uniting altogether to achieve this universal goal. You can even see how humans started having universal points of connection recently to build their own 2nd tower of Babel. (Internet of things, a common universal language which reverses God's punishment for the 1st tower of Babel, a mainstream international coherent media (MSM is rigged)... etc)

How will Jesus come? I cannot tell. But i am waiting for it patiently.

Hello and welcome to CF. :)

The second coming won't be a secret. If people say to you "he is at this place, or that place" don't believe them.

You won't have to ask when it happens.

Now ... is Jesus among us? Yes, He is. But not in that He has come again in glory, to judge the living and the dead, and establish His Kingdom which will have no end. That is the second coming. And you will know when it happens.

amen

Especially, Jesus is growing in us as our new inner Person > Galatians 4:19. And by means of the Holy Spirit in us, Jesus is sharing God's own love with us (Romans 5:5) and personally guiding us in our Heavenly Father's own peace > Colossians 3:15, John 14:27.

:)

As Orthodox, we are especially reminded of these things. An ancient greeting among Christians is "Christ is in our midst!" and the response is "He is and ever shall be!"

We just began saying this again today, because after we celebrate the Resurrection for 40 days we say "Christ is Risen!" instead. :)

The first time Jesus came, many saw him and did not recognize him.
Agreed. But we have these two bible verses dealing with His return:

Acts 1:11 who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."

Rev 1:7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

So he left in the clouds, he returns in the clouds, and every eye will see Him. Whether they recognize Him or not, they will see Him.

If Jesus descends from the clouds it will be dismissed as a UFO sighting.

The truth is an open secret. Evidence is subjective. Seeing is not believing. Hearing is not understanding.

How do you know a lie? A lie must be told repeatedly, with emphasis, and a stubborn refusal to be questioned as to proof or details. Liars try to hypnotize you with repetition. How do you know the truth? First, someone tells you "look here" and points. Then you must look, and then you must understand what you are seeing, and then you must accept it. This can be a long and hard road. Not all undertake the full journey. But say "look here" and point anyway.

Jesus came once. He gave convincing proofs. Many refused to see, refused to believe. So it will be when he returns.

Is Jesus already among us, or will He come from the heavens?
Both. He is among Christians in the Spirit. He will bodily come again to earth at his second coming, just before the universe melts and the New Heavens and New Earth begin. This is the ultimate destination and goal of Christians.
