Revelation 15:18 is an interesting verse in Revelation.
This is said before the 7 last bowls are are going to be poured out.

Just a quick note. The word used in Reve 15:18 is "Sanctuary<3485>", but most versions use "Temple<2411>[which is never used in Revelation]".

Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon

2411. hieron neuter of 2413; a sacred place, i.e. the entire precincts (whereas 3485 denotes the central sanctuary itself) of the Temple (at Jerusalem or elsewhere):--temple.

ναοῦ, ὁ (ναίω to dwell), the Sept. for הֵיכָל, used of the temple at Jerusalem, but only of the sacred edifice (or sanctuary) itself, consisting of the Holy place and the Holy of holies (in classical Greek used of the sanctuary or cell of a temple, where the image of the god was placed, called also δόμος, σηκός, which is to be distinguished from τό ἱερόν, the whole temple, the entire consecrated enclosure; this distinction is observed also in the Bible; see ἱερόν, p. 299{a}): Matthew 23:16f, 35 27:40; Mark 14:58; Mark 15:29; John 2:19; Revelation 11:2; nor need Matthew 27:5 be regarded as an exception, provided we suppose that Judas in his desperation entered the Holy place, which no one but the priests was allowed to

Revelation 15:8

Exodus 40:34
Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

Besides John in Revelation, there is one event in the Gospels which shows a person actually performance a priestly service in the Sanctuary.......the father of John the Baptist:

YLT) Luke 1:5
There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest, by name Zacharias, of the course of Abijah, and his wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name Elisabeth; 6and they were both righteous before God, going on in all the commands and righteousnesses of the Lord blameless, 7and they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and both were advanced in their days.
8And it came to pass, in his acting as priest, in the order of his course before God, 9according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot was to make perfume, having gone into the Sanctuary of the Lord, 10and all the multitude of the people were praying without, at the hour of the perfume.
11And there appeared to him a Messenger of the Lord standing on the right side of the Altar of the perfume/incense, 12and Zacharias, having seen, was troubled, and fear fell on him;

The event of the 10 virgins is similar to the Passover event in Exodus, [which may be what the "Lord's day" is symbolizing in Revelation?]

Midnight is also when the Destroyer came upon the Egyptians........
[I will posting this on the thread later]

Parable of the Ten Virgins

Matthew 25:3
6 Of middle of night a cry has ocurred "behold! the Bridegroom. Be ye coming out! into meeting of Him".
10 Of coming away yet of them to purchase, came the Bridegroom and the prepared ones entered with Him into the marriage-festivities, and is locked the door.
11 Subsequently yet are coming also the rest of the virgins saying "Lord! Lord! open Thou! to us"
12 The yet answering He said "Verily I am saying to ye not I have known ye"

The destroyer also came at Midnight:

Exodus 11:4 And Moses is saying "thus says Yahweh as mid of the night, I going forth in midst of Egypt.
Exodus 12:29 And is becoming middle of the night and Yahweh smote every of firstborn in land of Egypt, from firstborn of Pharaoh, the one sitting on his throne, unto firstborn of the captive which in house of cistern and every of firstborn of beast.

Destroyer is also mentioned in Revelation:

Revelation 9:11
and they are having of them a king the Messenger of the Abyss, name to him to Hebrew abaddwn <3>, and in the Greecian name, Destroyer

Exodus 12:23
And Yahweh passes<5674> to strike the Egyptians and He sees the blood on the lintel and on two of the jambs and Yahweh passes over<6452> the portal
and not He shall allow the ruiner/destroyer/07843 shachath/1842 oleqreuonta to come to houses of ye to strike.
[Luke 21:28/Revelation 9:11]

No one in Revelation 15 told John anything as to when men can enter into the temple. John knew it himself, because when it is the time of incense that is the way things are.
The time of incense occurs in the story told in Revelation 8.
This is an old story about the seven trumpets.
It is already over and men entered into the temple after the Revelation 7 great tribulation had ended.
There is also a story in Luke 1 concerning the father of John the Baptist going into the Sanctuary at the hour of incense. That is when Gabriel appeared to him:

Luke 1:
5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest, by name Zacharias, of the course of Abijah, and his wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name Elisabeth; 6 and they were both righteous before God, going on in all the commands and righteousnesses of the Lord blameless, 7 and they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and both were advanced in their days.

8 And it came to pass, in his acting as priest, in the order of his course before God, 9 according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot was to make perfume<2370>, having gone into the Sanctuary of the Lord, 10 and all the multitude of the people were praying without, at the hour of the perfume<2368>.
11 And there appeared to him a Messenger of the Lord standing on the right side of the Altar of the perfume<2368>,

19 And the messenger answering said to him, ‘I am Gabriel, who have been standing near before God, and I was sent to speak unto thee, and to proclaim these good news to >thee,

G2368 θυμίαμα (thymiama), which occurs 6 times in 6 verses

#2368 occurs in 2 verses of Luke and 4 verses in Revelation.

1 of those is similar to Luke 1:19 where a Messenger also stands at the Altar of Incense:

The Great City/Harlot/Queen Revelation chapts 17-19

Rev 8:3
and another Messenger did come, and he stood at the Altar, having a golden censer, and there was given to him much perfume<2368>, that he may give it to the prayers of all the saints upon the golden Altar that is before the throne,

Last time used is after the destruction of the 1st century Jerusalem, Temple and Sanctuary [which used a lot of the things shown]

Rev 18:13
and cinnamon, and incenses<2368>, and ointment, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and cattle, and sheep, and of horses, and of chariots, and of bodies and souls of men.
