As to His return, I feel it will be in my lifetime. Now can I be wrong? Of course. But as to our casting off our old nature by faith and putting on the new man that finally can be changed. into His likeness from glory to glory, NOW is always God's time for us.

Anything more than that is hope, not faith, and hope does notvget you out of the wilderness and into the land of promise(s).

Think for a minute. Everything in the new covenant is faith driven.

We are saved by faith.
We overcome by faith.
Christ dwells in our hearts by faith.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
We abide in Him by faith.
We quench the fiery arrows of satan by faith.
We are called to fight the good fight of faith.
We are to become established in the faith.

The entire old testament pointed to faith. All God longs for is a people who will take the limits off Him and believe He is not a man that He might lie. He simply asks us;

Do you really trust me to do what I have promised to you?

And we have reduced that glorious growth process, whereby by faith we grow up into Him in all things, to a one time prayer, with, more often than not, our trust not growing one whit in decades. How are we any different from the unprofitable servant?

How do we "grow in faith" if all we are called to believe is that Jesus died for our sins? You either do or don't but tou do not grow to believe it deeper, right?

Step out of the boat, people of God. Believe your God. He said He will keep you from falling. He will.

He said He would cause us to obey. He will.

He said we are dead and our life is hid with Him. We are.

I like what Peter said:

"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."

1 Peter 1:4

What an amazing scripture! What insight into how God wants us to cooperate with Him. Remember, we are yoked.
Listen to what He tells us. The promises are given to us because through believing them fervently, that is how we become partakers of the divine nature. Glory!

Why are we not being changed? We do not believe His promises! How do we finally become like Him? When we finally start believing His promises! LOL. It really isn't that complicated.

Picking up our crosses is very much expected as we follow Jesus. I know what it is like. Its taken me quite some time to wade through the quicksand of evil to get to solid ground! Through the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ i can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks, a great scripture. How often we say that we believe every word of the Bible and then we bump into one like that. Or how about:

"...... who has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of light."

A lot of people talk about dying to self, but they have no plan, no tactic, and nothing tangible to actually do because, God help us, we do not want to err by working for our salvation, right? So we settle in for the passage of time, reasoning that when God is ready, He will free us. And guess what never happens? LOL. We need to ponder this long and hard. God is ALWAYS ready to bring us higher. ALWAYS.

Look, let us finally face it. We cannot die to self. Period. But ahhhhh, we CAN reckon it already dead. This takes faith but hey, get used to it, our God has much bigger things for us to believe! Stepping into our new nature is the true beginning of our being changed into His glory.

Either we are still in our old nature with a traitor lurking inside us, walking with a double mind, which James likens to cheating on God, OR we really did die when Christ died and we really are already new creatures. And rhere is but one reason that it had not yet profited us.... and our newness not expressed.... because we have never come into agreement with our God and believed what He plainly has declared to us.

Yes, we need to yield ourselves to God. After all, He OWNS us. and here we find the major road block to people fully yielding to His hand. They see still from old man eyes and think if they yield, it will be painful and harsh, with no joy, no freedom.

Boy, has satan got us buffalo'ed or what? Here we all are, lukewarm, passionless and empty, living life for US, and yet God promises us joy unspeakable, glorious liberty, and power to walk with satan under our feet. How many secretly think of God as if He is some hard task master, wanting to reap where he first did not sow.

Is it a coincidence that this was the mindset of the unprofitable servant? Need we be reminded that what was given to Him was taken away and given to another? We ought to be shaking in our boots. Instead we just start looking for a nicer pair of boots.

Yes, we must yield ourselves to the one who owns us, but far more important is HOW we yield ourselves to Him. We think it more humble is we approach Him as sinful worms, not worthy of anything from Him.

But that is not humility. It is inverse pride, because we still get to keep our eyes on us. Paul tells us to yield ourselves to God "as those who are alive from the dead". When we finally decide to believe He really is the God who cannot lie, oh, what adventures we will have!

You are right about those who are waiting for the mystical happening which will transform them into active believers. When I was mentioning about "when we become", it was an individual moment of transformation and inspiration that propels them to action and conviction. Individually, a multitude of individuals becomes the army of believers that will spread the gospel again, then the end will come.

God has shown me that we are the dry bones He speaks of in Ezekiel 37.

Ever since the last drops of the early rain ceased after the death of Paul, a long hot summer lasting 1900 years set it. The base precepts of Christianity survived but not truly imbibed with overflowing life.

As dry bones, you can look at us and see the base form somewhat of God but life? Nope. Oh, we possess the DNA of our forefathers in the book of Acts, but as to our walking as they did, no way..... until now.

We are now witnessing sinew and muscle beginning to appear but something still is lacking. At some point, the cry will go forth “Live, bones, live!” and God’s church will again come into view in all her splendor.

I accept that you do not agree with that and it is ok. I have a feeling you are going to be pleasantly surprised.

In Ezekiel 37, our God tells us that the harvest will happen and the heathen know that he is the Lord, when He shall be sanctified IN US before their very eyes. .

No brother, we are in the process of awakening. To lay a guilt trip on mis-led Saints when they have not ever taken the first step by reckoning themselves dead is simply putting the cart before the horse.

Has God not promised to CAUSE US to walk in obedience? Both to will AND to do of His good pleasure? Yes. If we have to tell people to do something other than to abide in Him and let His Spirit guide us, lead us, change us, it is error.

In God’s new covenant, He promises that no one will have to tell you “Know He the Lord” because ALL will know me.
You are taking one scripture and assuming this is the only way they can please God, by preaching, healing, etc on the streets.

Trust me, this move will wane because it is not about our abiding in Him as new creatures that is your emphasis. It was at one time. You knew it was only this oneness that can bring about obedience, but have erred, I fear, and agreed with a narrowed, overly focused emphasis on every person fulfilling the great commission themselves, as opposed to being a fully committed part of THE church, that WILL do all God wants, how He wants in fulfilling His great commission.

Brother, I pray peace between us and I know these words may offend. That is not my point. I know you have seen what I share, and somehow moved past it without taking it with you. Your joy has disappeared in your words.
The only reason I share this is to be a good friend. Good friends do that.

Huge changes are coming. The church as we term it is in for a shaking, and like the Old Aqua Vela commercials when the guy would get slapped in the face and reply “Thanks, I needed that!”, so will we.

Remember, these were the five kings the Israelites had previously cowered in fear over, causing them to return to the wilderness until all unbelief died off. I suspect they doubted Joshua. To put their feet on the neck of the kings they had once been terrified of was to say that the slave was free from the oppression of the evil masters. But they did so, despite their previous fears, and rhat day, they knew the land would truly become theirs. Their enemy had not only been defeated, but thoroughly humiliated.

Cool story, huh? Well, guess what, army of God. It is time for our feet to go on the neck of satan. No more fear. No more compromise. He is powerless, for his lies are being stripped away. Greater is He that is in you... in me.... in US..... than He who is in the world.

We will no longer fear the one who may be able to kill our bodies, but has no power over our spirits. Christ is in us, not just WITH us. It is time we lifted our feet onto Satan's neck and made our declaration of independence from his tryanny empowered by lies.

We who are His ARE new creatures and satan has zero power over us. We are told thwt we owe him and our flesh NOTHING. It is time we finally believed it.

It is like Pentecost all over again, where believers are not just experiencing it, they are awakening to the times and like you said "the harvest" is seen. They will go out in the 11th hour because of their conviction, inspiration, and determination.

Ok, try to picture prisons of war remaining in their cells, nearly starving, trying to convince themselves that everything is ok because we won the war, yet no one ever sets them free.

Our victory was supposed to be observable, lol. Is it any wonder the world does not want what we are peddling? Our mantra is “Christians aren’t perfect, just forgiven” yet God’s mantra for us is that our shields of faith will quench ALL the. fiery arrows of satan.

We have forgotten how to blush. We are about to get a refresher course.
