Did Trump supporters know they’d be paying for his tariffs on Chinese goods?

The tax bill will come due. The government is just protecting their investments.

Good point. First we pay the higher prices for goods, and then we pay the taxes to cover the bailouts so that Donald can show his face in farm country without getting tarred and feathered.

Really, you're paying for the tariffs twice. Now cough it up.

Yes, like 20 cents per pay check, I can handle this.
$800 per year / $.20 per paycheck = ...a lot more paychecks per year than most of us have ever gotten, heh heh. (more than 10 paychecks per day, 7 days a week)

But I also support the tariffs on Chinese goods. China has been conducting economic warfare against us.

He's embraced Socialism, you mean.

...something a lot of Trump supporters don't understand.

Socialism would have the government owning those farms.

He's just attempting to control the means of food production through some national bailout/subsidy policy (probably so he doesn't lose those votes). Sure, he hasn't out right nationalized midwest farms, but I think you'd be hard pressed to see this as anything other than central planning in full swing.

Such 'planning' has been going on for decades.

Ever heard of this? Began during the FDR years:
