Oh my. Just when I think I have heard it all...........^_^

Did you come up with that all by yourself? I gotta admit, I have never heard of that view until now.

It's a tenet of British Israelism. Makes sense.

So you're suggesting that Christ does NOT already have the birthright nor the scepter? That you are waiting for the fulfillment of that off in the future (based on your use of future tense)?

Yes. Shiloh hasn't come yet. Owning something and possessing it can be two different things. I own the money in my bank accounts but someone else possesses it, until I go to the bank and claim it.l I believe the Queen of England sits on the throne of David, keeping it warm for Christ, should he return during her reign.
Jesus is heir of all things but not yet the inheritor of all things.

Interpretation by imagination hath no boundaries.
Agreed.
I just came up with a great theme song for this board:

Keras ~ I'm guessing, since you hit "agreed" on my post #513, that you only read where I quoted a belief that I disagree with and didn't read that entire post - correct?
Yes, I didn't see that you don't agree about Jacob and Ephraim being the original Israel, that we are the inheritors of, thru Jesus.
It quite a confusing issue, but as we are told by Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:11 All those things that happen in ancient times are symbolic for what will happen to us.
All the Bible has significance, people with short attention spans miss a lot.
I believe the Queen of England sits on the throne of David, keeping it warm for Christ, should he return during her reign.
This comes as a surprise to most, but there is documentary proof of the lineage to Queen Elizabeth from King Zedekiah and the rejoining of the twin lines of Pharez and Zerah. Genesis 38:27-30
It is wise to remember that God's Plan spans the ages and what the Bible tells us is not just uninteresting history.

Interesting as well is that the few Queens of England have done more to civilize the world than all the Kings before them. The "tender twig" and all that.

keras, what is your source of this information? Mine is "Judah's Sceptre and Joseph's Birthright" by J.H. Allen, 1st copyright 1902. It is the most riveting bible 'study' I have ever read, and I have been a British Israelism believer since.

I'm wondering the same. Aren't you attempting to demonstrate that Christ does not possess everything that He was bequeathed?

He won't take possession until he returns. He's the owner-in-absentia.

Ya gotta stretch yer imagination.
Not when it comes to the Sacred Scriptures........
The 1st century Jewish rulers found that out the hard way in 70ad.

John 5:39 "Ye are searching the Writings that ye are seeming in them life age-during to be having, and those are the ones-testifying about Me".

2 Peter 3:16
As also/and in all the letters, speaking in them about these-things; in which are difficult to understand any which the un-learned and un-steadfast are wresting/twisting as also the rest of Writings, toward the own of them destruction/apwleian <684>. [# 684 used reve 17:8, 11]

Revelation 14:11
And the smoke of the tormenting of them is ascending into Ages to-Ages. And not they are having Rest/anapausin <372> day and night [Matt 11:29/Hebrew 4:3]

The Great City/Harlot/Queen Revelation chapts 17-19

Revelation 18:

18 And they cried<2896>, observing the smoke of Her firing<4451>, saying, "What like to the great City?"
19 and they cast dust upon their heads, and cried<2896>, lamenting<2799>, weeping and mourning<3996>, saying,
"Woe! woe! the great City! in which are rich all those having ships<4143> in the sea, out of Her preciousness<5094>,
for to one hour was She was desolated<2049>.

"It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter."

This is a very interesting matter. :)

So you think I'm twisting the scriptures to my own destruction and will burn in hell forever? That's harsh.
