It depends on whether he's done something that's actually illegal. I don't have access to the full data from the investigation, so I have to reserve judgment on that question.

If he hasn't done anything illegal -- if he's just an awful president -- then that's not impeachable. Let him finish his term, and work hard to elect someone else next year.

If he has done something illegal -- even then, I lean towards letting him finish out his term, and then prosecuting the crime after he's left office.

If he has done something illegal AND is continuing to do it AND he gets re-elected next year -- then ask me again in 2021. Impeachment is an extreme last-resort option that I'd rather avoid; but no president should be above the law.

There is plenty of evidence of a felony. Anybody but the President would probably be on trial right now.
I have been watching this whole circus as it played out and I have not seen any evidence at all, let alone evidence which would convince a reasonable person beyond a reasonable doubt. If you know of such evidence I would certainly like to see it.

Do you support the Democrats trying to Impeach the President?

Yes or no and why.

No. At least not right now. They haven't yet done the work necessary to support Impeachment.

Besides, why impeach him as long as the Senate hasn't yet understood why he is dangerous to the nation. Let the economy crash and the Senate will understand the threat he represents.

My preferred course is to let things continue to deteriorate and let him lose in 2020. But that preferred course includes the House continuing to continue investigating and gathering information. If he isn't guilty as sin, he won't mind them wasting their time investigating.

If you listen closely to Mueller's last press conference, he basically hinted without saying it that the Prez did do something shady. I can find the video probably on Youtube. Here it is:
He said if they had clear evidence that he didn't commit a crime they would have said so. (Quote happens between 4:17-4:23) That's almost verbatim.

It took me a few minutes to understand what you were saying. I get the point that it would be damaging to the Democrats and a win for Republicans, but I think it would be a very dangerous precedent to set. Unless there is a crime during his time in office, I see no reason to impeach.

There is no reason to impeach, but the media and far left is screaming impeachment. Let them try. It will expose them once again.

I’m just hoping the law is changed back so President Trump can serve more than two terms.

I would not support that. There is a reason for two terms max. And I support that.

Impeachment proceedings don't have a burden of proof, much less one of beyond a reasonable douobt.

I voted for Trump because i found him only slightly less obnoxious than Hillary.

I still find him repulsive.

But I don't think that his impeachment would be in the best interests of the nation.

I voted yes because I believe it will result in not just another four years of Trump. But possibly 12 years of Republican Presidents.

I think you are kidding yourself. I don't think it would change that much, other than to clearly lay out the things that President has done.

As example, I cite the Clinton impeachment, which did not seem to hurt Republicans in the future elections -- despite Democrats claiming the impeachment having been politically motivated.

Impeachment is a political move and I’m not privy to the info congess has, so unfortunately l’ll have to trust them to make the right decision. I think there is plenty to impeach him on but voting him out is the better choice, unless the dems know that impeachment would be successful, or that the impeachment proceedings will help inform the public in preparation for the vote.

Actually, that is the whole point of House Impeachment hearings, to investigate, determine what "crimes" have been committed and if they rise to the level of impeachment. The way to think about it is that the House hearings on impeachment are the 'grand jury,' which determines whether the evidence exists to 'indict.' If the House does vote to impeach (again, the equivalent of an indictment), then the Senate holds the trial.

That would be different. Impeaching because of felony is exactly what the process is for. And yet.... there is no evidence of a felony. All I see is a mad scramble to oust a president just because he won the election and some political leaders don’t like the outcome of that election. It looks like nothing more than a temper tantrum to me.

Let me guess. You watch Fox exclusively, right?

I don't support democrats in anything, let alone a witch hunt.

Good thing the only witch hunt is Barr's hit man looking for the "real" colluders.

He you read vol. II of the Mueller report?

We'll have to wait and see if members of the House determine if the president has indeed committed a felony and what they intend to do about it. If evidence shows that he has then I would think they have a legal duty to start the process of an impeachment regardless of the political ramifications it might have for them.

As a matter of fact I do not. I prefer CBS. If any of this is true why haven't the Dems started impeachment proceedings? Surely all this "obstruction" constitutes high crimes and misdemeanors.
I have a theory they are not proceeding because they don't want their own dirty laundry broadcast on all the news outlets 24/7 as they are doing Trump. I'm thinking 1000s of subpoenaed emails, computers and hard drives etc. destroyed.

I support rounding up those trying to stage a coup and overthrow our popular elected President and trying and convicting them of treason or at the very least strip them of their citizenship and Deport them.
