The future is yet to come?

In this regard, yes. We're still in the 'six days' of man's rule on earth.

And yes, generally speaking the future is yet to come. ^_^

Is Jesus God? Then he has always ruled the nations with a rod of iron.
Dave, God is sovereign over all of creation. But it is not until the seventh angel sounds, that God asserts His power over the nations, taking the kingdoms of this world away from Satan's grip, to be kingdoms of God and of his Christ. It is future, but not too far into the future.

Revelaton 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

I guess you'd have to actually read Genesis 49 for the answer.

Maybe you were right. I found an example that supports your claim:

Genesis 47:23
23 Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.

Since "you" means "not you, only your descendants", the people to whom Joseph spoke were not bought, nor was their land, nor did they receive any seed, nor did they sow the land.

All of what Joseph said pertained only to the people's descendants.

Here's another one:

Genesis 48:21
And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.

Since "you" means "not you, only your descendants", that never happened to Joseph. God wasn't with him. Only with his descendants.

Finally, Scripture is beginning to make sense.

What if WE are Israelites?

Careful study of Scripture shows that the Lord is a God of order and in His plan for the redemption of His creation, He chose the Israelite peoples. At this stage of history, only He knows exactly who they are. Amos 9:9 The Lord made unconditional promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, that their descendants would be “great nations, as many as the sands of the sea, to be His witnesses and be a light to the nations.” Isaiah 43:10

Only the House of Judah [the Jews] are known at present, the other 10 tribes are lost to general knowledge, as God planned it. All twelve tribes will experience the great awakening as foretold by the prophets. Their blindness will pass away in the spiritual light that will come upon them regarding their identity and their responsibilities as the chosen people of God. Ezekiel 37:14, Romans 9:24-26, 1 Peter 2:9-10

Suppose you are an Israelite? What of it? If I am saved, what difference will it make?

The Scriptures speak of far more than the salvation of the individual. Those who accept the free gift of salvation also have the responsibility of spreading the Gospel [good news] of the coming Kingdom of God. This is being done now and will be done on a greater scale by His people when they go back into the Promised Land. Ezekiel 39:27, Revelation 7:1-14

The Bible presents us with a great volume of information, regarding the origins and history of the various races of mankind, the division of peoples into Israelite {Christian] and Gentile [non Christian] nations. The detailed prophesies of what will happen, then His people’s work for the period leading up to the Return of Jesus and His Millennium Kingdom. Isaiah 49:8

The truth about the Lord’s plan for all who qualify to be an Israelite is a thread which runs through the whole Bible, every type, promise, Covenant, and act of God, points to the final fulfilment of His planned establishment of a people, all faithful Christian believers who will live in His Land, as He originally intended. Isaiah 62:1-5, Amos 9:13-15 His witnesses, Isaiah 43:10 and the Light to the nations, Isaiah 49:8

Isaiah 51:1-2 Listen to Me, all you who follow after the right, all who seek the Lord: consider the Rock from which you were hewn, the quarry from which you came. Consider Abraham, your father and Sarah who gave you birth, when I called him, he was but one. I blessed him and made him many.

Romans 4:23-24 The words “counted to Abraham as righteousness” apply not only to Abraham, but also to us: our faith, too, is to be counted: our faith in Jesus, raised to life for our justification.

When we go through Scripture and see the many prophecies about the judgement of the nations and the blessings promised to God’s holy people, who are now every faithful Christian believer: from every race nation and language, we see that most are for the “last days”, that is: the short period leading up to the end of this age and before the commencement of the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus. That is for us, upon whom, as Paul says: the end of the age has come.

It is evident that God wants us to be aware of coming events, He sent prophet after prophet, telling in great detail how His plans will unfold. The signs of our times, confirm that their fulfilment is imminent.

The Lord, in His mercy, has given us warning of imminent world changing and shocking happenings. We should be aware of His plans – be ready to rejoice and praise Him for the redemption and restoration of all His people into their heritage of the holy Land.

There's a lot of great information (and misinformation as well) out there concerning British Israelism.

We know why the 'rapture to heaven' believers hate the truth of the real Israel being still hidden among the nations. They must have the fake Israel, namely the Jewish State of Israel, on earth while they fondly think they will be in heaven.
Instead of properly researching this subject and really ascertaining God's Plan for His people, the rapturists just dismiss it all out of hand. Shame on them.

What tripe is this?

Earlier you told us that "you" means "not you".

Now you (that's my you, which actually means you) are trying to tell us that "you" means "you".

When will you (that's my you, which actually means you) make up your mind?

I guess you'd have to actually read Genesis 49 for the answer.

No need to guess. I've read and reread it in numerous recognized and accepted versions.

Uncultivated ones, that is.

You means you in every one.

Do you apply this literalism to the whole bible? That can seriously impede your understanding of scripture. The bible is a work of literature, complete with many literary devices.

Well, Satan couldn't give it if he didn't own it, it would have been just empty rhetoric, and there would never have been any temptation involved. But the scripture said the Lord was tempted by Satan. So.. NO... Yeshua has NOT always ruled the nations with a rod of iron.

Matthew 4:8-9 (NKJV) Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”

It gets even worse. God is allowing mankind to learn what life is like under the rule of Satan. Curiously our response is to get mad at God, or worship one of Satan's surrogate gods, even though we can come under the beneficent rule of God at anytime.

Do the translators translate "you" as "you"?

Or as "not you"?

Now come on, you are just trying too hard. Those of us in the pre-trib camp are fully aware that there are still Hebrews among the nations. There has never been any dispute. But like happened when the Hebrews were allowed to return from Babylon, only a remnant did. Nothing new under the sun.

And there is no need to fake anything. Ezekiel is very clear about the regathering of the Hebrew people, and that it would be in unbelief. And also good 'ol Zeke gave us quite a bit of information in that 430 years of punishment the Hebrew people were to endure for failing to observe the sabbatical years. And since only a remnant returned from Babylon, according to Zeke again and tying in Leviticus 26, we can know the exact timing when Israel would once again be a sovereign nation.... May 1948. The math is so transparent a grade schooler could easily do it. I really shouldn't have to show it again, but if anyone needs to see the math, i will go thru it step by step again.
