Jews and gentiles

If one isn't circumcised and is neither a practicing Jew nor an ethnic Jew, then it's not appropriate (or factual) to refer to themselves as such.

They probably don't understand that they are actually descendants of Israel, as in WASP.

Probably because they are not Jewish, and most of the Christian Church is not Jewish. Jewish Christians exist, but they are converts from Judaism or are of Jewish descent (sometimes they are called Messianic Jews).
